Prett good but too slow and in time started getting slower
Prett good but too slow and in time started getting slower. Some functions not working well - f.i. the screen getting unlocked by itself occassionaly. I gave it away to my little nephew - good toy for him though.

Little marvel
I loved this phone when I got it, and I still love it now. Excellent phone quality and signal handling. Add a 16Gb micro sd card for all the data storage you could ask for. Plays music either over the internal speaker, or very clearly in high quality sound through headphones. Has a GPS, so is ideal as a sports tracker with one of several downloadable apps (Endomondo is best imho). Battery life depends on what you are doing, but as used as a phone only, it stays charged all week. Listening to music and gps tracking, 5-6 hours. Since Microsoft took Nokia over, some of the applications, like internet radio, don't function. But the camera has a reasonable resolution at 5mp, and gives excellent results through the high quality lens. Upload your pics to flickr over the wifi. You can check in to facebook, and surf the internet (better to download the mobile opera browser rather than use the inbuilt nokia browser). Listen to the radio with it. Plug it into your car charger and it can function as a tomtom. All this in a tiny unit that slips into any pocket. And it was a free upgrade from Virgin mobile five years ago.

Never again.
Nokia C5 phone was ok for a month but I have been unable to use at all whilst on holiday. Touch screen fails to function so cannot unlock. Will be returning it on my return, hopefully with a full refund. Would probably not replace it.

Looks good, but too many quirks.
I'd not long owned a Nokia C3, with partial touch screen, and liked the touch screen features so much I decided I'd like to get a phone that was ALL touch screen, so got the Nokia C5. Surprisingly, I ended up being very disappointed with it.The phone comes bundled with a whole host of Internet related features. I don't mind that, but had no plans to do any web surfing or to use the Ovi maps feature. How anyone can web surf with a tiny little phone screen is beyond me. I have an iPad for mobile internet access. Now I realise I could simply ignore these unwanted features, but the problem is that when a phone is festooned with knick-knacks, it makes it very difficult to locate the small subset of functionality you actually plan to use. My needs have not changed in 15 years of mobile phone ownership. I want a PHONE - not a mobile data centre, and I want to be able to make calls, text, use the calendar, set alarms, and have a calculator. That's all.The virtual keypad was very quirky. When touching a number, I would typically select the number below the one I wanted, and it would take several attempts to compose the correct number. Touching a number/letter would sometimes have no effect; you have to touch the screen in a certain way, it would seem. If selecting a number from a list of contacts, the items in the list were so small that it was all too easy to select the wrong one - or more than one, if composing a text. When composing a text, there seemed to be some sort of handwriting option available - not something I would want, but of course a couple of key strokes were needed to bypass this feature and compose a normal typed text.If the problems making calls were not bad enough, receiving calls was even worse! I received about three calls, and ended up missing all of them! What would happen is that two virtual screen buttons would appear - one saying "unlock", and the other saying "answer". I pressed each in my attempts to receive an incoming call, but nothing happened except the phone continued to ring until the call went to voice mail. When this happened for the fourth time, I decided that enough was enough and removed the simcard from the Nokia C5, and have now gone back to using the Nokia C3. I am much happier with that - I can find the features I want easily. The text is larger and easier to read, and I don't end up having to make extra key strokes to circumvent the features I don't want. The keypad keys are a little stiff, but this is as nothing compared to the frustration of working with the unpredictable Nokia C5 virtual keypad. If only high level phones like the C5 could be a phone first with internet features second, instead of the other way round, I might have given it more time. But the difficulty of accessing the features I use quickly and easily, coupled with the small text, difficulty in making touch screen selections from lists, and the quirky key pad all combined to convince me that the C5 is not for me.

Disappointed
The phone itself was perfect for someone like me, who wanted a touch screen but didnt want all the apps and stuff on an I-phone! This one has the maps which may well be useful but i didnt use them. Problem with the phone was that after a month the dialling stopped working, numbers doubled up or wouldnt press.. eitherway i couldnt dial in a number.. my mobile savvy kids said simply, "Its Kn***ered"!Amazon replaced it immediately and i was happy again for another month, then the same fault happened, and this time the bluetooth wouldnt connect with my car system either, after working fine for 3 weeks.Without the faults it would be a great little phone, but i've had 2 in 2 months and am now waiting for a Sony Ericsson to replace the Nokia!

I only buy Nokia
As an owner of only nokia phones I'm familar with the symbian software, the C5-03 boasts one of the largest touch screens and offers great value for money. This phone does everything an iPhone can but for half the cost and with lifetime subscription to Ovi maps theres no need to spend on a sat nav. I recommend this product to anyone and am thinking about purchasing another for my spouse as a present.
