This item is almost a perfect OEM replacement
This item is almost a perfect OEM replacement. In some ways, it is better than the OEM original as it is one solid piece and the original OEM is actually two pieces. Color match is almost perfect. Due to how it is made, you can see the mold seams in the plastic but this is on the inside part near your gauges, so it isn't really noticeable. It has all the matching tabs the original has minus two near the top but it doesn't seem to cause any fitment or vibration issues. Installation takes time and patience. I recommend you start the removal of the OEM piece from either the lower left or right slide and then move up and around to the other side. Use something that isn't hard (not a screw driver unless you wrap it in duct tape or electrical tape) or you will gouge up your dash plastic. When installing the new part, installation is reverse. Line up the tab of the new part with the tab hole starting on the lower left or right and work it in to place, going from one side to the other. While installing, make sure you clear the odometer button as I missed this the first time I attempted to install.The next part is installing the gauges in to the pods. If you have deep gauges, you might need to replace them with something not so deep or they won't fit. Lower the steering wheel down as far as it will go, fish the cables for your gauges up and over the steering column and behind the new gauge cluster assembly at the bottom and work those cable left or right to the openings in the sides of the pod cups. hook up your gauges and then secure them. Depending on how you secure them, you may have needed to install them earlier before you finalized the cluster installation. I just used thick rubber bands that held the gauges in snug.

No way to mount gauges in bezel except with rubber bands.
It's easy to install. The problem with this unit is the bezel for the gauges are to big. They say it's done on purpose I don't think so. The gauges don't have a way to held in place except 2 rubber bands stupid if you ask me. I used black gorilla tap. Looks good should have a better way to install gauges.

Great cluster, some gauges may have issues.
Very good cluster. It looks OEM material and color, was very easy to install, and fits well.Pros:-OEM color and material-Easy installation-Gauges fit nice and snug with included rubber bands.Cons:-Not much room for long gauges at the back side. Only about a half of the back side of the cluster is open to route wires which means its a tight fit. On an SPT boost gauge this means that it was very hard to route the hose without kinking it. Electric gauges such as AEM Wideband was much easier to fit into the cluster.

The gauge pods in the cluster only have so much depth to them so the much deeper mechanical gauge like my Autometer ran into the
Installed this gauge cluster in my 2009 WRX hatch. I went with an AEM 30-0300 X-Series wideband and an Autometer 5903 boost gauge.This is where I'll warn people about the gauge cluster. It seems to be made for electronic gauges and not mechanical (this particular Autometer boost gauge is mechanical, this means a pressure/vacuum line runs to the back of the gauge instead of just wires). The gauge pods in the cluster only have so much depth to them so the much deeper mechanical gauge like my Autometer ran into the back of the housing. I cut the studs off the back of the gauges since they're not needed but also had to bend the electrical terminals very far in order for the gauge to slide all the way in.I used a dremel to trim back the side with the wideband as the gauge face itself sat higher than the autometer. I did this just to make them both appear to be level in the cluster.Overall I love the stock look this gives and that's why it was worth the money to me. No A pillar pods or random gauges pods on top of your dash.

Terrible Fit Unless You Don't Need High Beams!!!
When I purchased this I made the mistake of expecting that the quality would be good since it is so expensive. I was wrong. When i got It i put it in to mock it up. First off you sort of have to bend it to get it fit and it was very difficult to get in. After about 20 min I finally got it in. So I drop my new Prosport Halo Boost and OIl pressure gauges in to take a look. I notice that the turn signal lever is really close to my oil gauge. So I try to turn the high beams on and I can't push the lever far enough with out hitting my gauge. So i Had to remove the cluster and cut a half inch off the cup so i would have clearance. This is kind of funny because the cup is like 4 in deep to start with and if you had a really long gauge you could easily modify it to fit.Also there a lot of visible seam on it that make it look quite plasticy.

High Beams Read This
First I didn't think my high beams would turn on. So I was going to give this product a bad review. Then I realized I didn't push my gauges back all the way. Yes, AEM gauge bezel is very large but push back the gauges 100% and you will get high beams. The rubber band is hard to work with, push the gauge back and fiddle to get both gauges level. Skeptic, but turned SMY fan, this product is legit...fits very good almost OEM finish.
