Amazon is astounding...I ordered this about 1pm and they delivered it at 4pm! I had read all the reviews about the smell and the color and the lack of quality blah blah blah. Its a very nicely made bag of beautiful leather and it's as stiff as new leather is. It feels nice. I love the green fabric inside. There is plenty of room for my 17" laptop and accessories. I'm amazed this was less than $60! I opened it 15 minutes ago and its sitting in the other room next to my office and I can smell it, but it smells nice. It smells like leather duh! Haha. Its not a foul smell, and I'm sure it will go away with time, like a baseball glove. Its a bargain, it looks amazing, feels like quality, its not too heavy, and I'm thrilled with it.

This product is absolutely handmade and I found it definitely worth the price. I love it and can see having it for several years. With that being said, this is not the fake pored seats of our car and how really the material can be proven from seeing it already gaining some character from usage after a week and the smell. Opened bag up, let it air out (no dryers or external heat), smell faded over two days. Mine has three buttons (one in center) as an update to pictures on here. Strong magnets but will not work if bag is overloaded...product self protection is guess. Very big, all space inside is usable, not comparted up like other bags. Mine has 4 pockets; 1 thin zipper sleeve for paper & writing tools, 2 sleeves for laptop & small to medium books, & the main pouch for everything else (where nothing can get lost in a useless utility pockets)...perfect. 16" in laptop fits perfect in each of the sleeves, main compartment could fit 17", Wish I could do 4.5/5 because received starting dimensions are closer to 17.5" x 12.5" x 4.5" than 18" x 13" x 5", but this could be from the treatments needed for build and then sewing on top of that but this bag has the structure to easily stretch into the dimensions over time with usage. Going with 5/5 because of sense that this thing is going to last...

I don't typically review items, but this bag is terrible. The leather is hard- like carrying a piece of cardboard on your shoulders. The main flap does not close properly to the clasps so the cardboard-esque front always gets caught on everything. The shoulder piece for comfort is just more hard leather- so adds no comfort at all. Plus it slides all over the place so you will be lucky if it can stay on your shoulder. The inside of the bag looks to be made of green burlap- really not the vibe i was hoping for to store my computer. But hey- it IS very big. Will be looking for a new bag ASAP.

I've gotten soooo many compliments on this bag.The material is fantastic, though it starts out way too fresh looking, nothing like the picture. It's much lighter in color and very stiff. Beat it up. Knock it around. Crunch it. Step on it. Wet it. Scuff it. I guess what I'm saying is you'll need to do a little weathering to it yourself if you want it to look like the one in the pictures. The good news is it will get that weathering over time too, especially from the oils and residue from other things on your hands as you touch it, but I needed to look like a shake 'n bake Indiana Jones, and I needed it to happen immediately.My one complaint is that the strap isn't built very steadily. The material stretched out over time (like 3 years) and eventually just snapped off my shoulder one day. I tied the two halves back together in a knot and just used it like that for a while. I suppose I could also just buy another strap of some kind to replace it. Things to think about, I guess

I upgraded my laptop to a Dell Inspiron with 17-in screen, so needed to upgrade my bag. This one fits the bill in every way. Sturdy. Roomy. Handsome. Good quality. Great bargain. Yes, I would buy it again. I did treat the leather with an all-purpose leather conditioner followed by a generous application of olive oil which enhanced the appearance even more. About the green canvas lining? I would be happier if it was a neutral color, but I can live with it due the overall quality of the product.

For the money, is amazingly good. Real leather and feels like it will last. I'm even ok with the strap so far. Will update if it fails unexpectedly. Great size and plenty of utility. Been using it from the minute I got it.

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE - I am going from 5 stars to 3. I did a review when I first received it. Things have changed since. The smell is really not that bad. I'm thinking some people may be getting really bad smelling bags but mine had a smell but nothing to return it over. It has that raw/animal leather smell for sure. But not THAT bad. This bag, as I said in my previous review is not the plush and cozy bag you see in the pictures. Product pictures are def deceiving. It is on the stiff side, coarse. After some time using this bag, I'm going to have to give it away/stop using it. Its bulk is uncomfortable, the strap cover where the belt is doesn't properly stay and clumsily just moves around and pretty much is a useless feature. For more personal reasons, I'm going to be switching to a backpack or cross shoulder bag type for better support because carrying this shoulder bag has been uncomfortable.The reason I lowered the stars on this bag is due to the useless strap cover, uneasy and weird way the bag would slump to one side while I have it on my shoulder and the flap will come open. It's not the most comfortable carry at all.The things I like, compartments, the likely durability and color.

Overwhelming odor, definitely not a leather smell. Strap was not stored well, couldn't reshape it flat. No branding or tags of any type on bag. Green interior is cute. Pockets inside are narrow, not a functional option. Returned based off smell alone, serious overwhelming chemical smell.
