ECO-LITE Dimmable 9w Par20 LED Flood 45 Daylight Lamp ~ Equiv. 50w

I bought these in late 2012 and early 2013 as a replacement for LED bulbs that were less bright and had less lumens. My goal has been to find LEDs that can fully replace halogen Par20s in overhead fixtures in the bathroom and kitchen. They have performed well for over a year or 8 months, depending on when I bought them, and with 450 lumens were brighter than the replacements. Some did have a flicker when first installed, but it has not been too noticeable. They still were not bright enough, and did not dim well in the 3 sockets on a dimmer, so I searched for a replacement. Just ordered the Feit PAR20/LEDG5 LED Dimmable PAR20 Reflector GEN5 (warm white) (450 lumens (in picture on Amazon site) or 465 lumens (on the packaging received)) and Feit PAR20/5K/LEDG5 LED Dimmable PAR20 5K Reflector GEN5 (bright 5k white) (500 lumens) which are much brighter and work much better on a dimmer, for about the same price. The light for the Feit brand (9.5 watts versus) is much stronger, even more than the 50 lumens difference, and the Feit brand lights seem to have a broader beam spread. Make sure you try out different types, but I think brighter is better and over time we have decided that bright white is better than warm white, regardless of the brand. My wife and I will be getting the Feits to replace the Eco-lites because of the big difference.

Great Cool LED Bulbs at about 1/3 the cost of home improvement or hardware stores. And free shipping if you are a prime member. It is a no brainer. I replaced my halogens with this and I am so glad. The halogens took about 2 hours to cool down to a reasonable handling temp when I changed them out. The halogens would constantly trip the thermal over temp circuit in the recessed lighting fixtures in my house. Dangerous. CFLs are also fairly expensive and take a while to turn on, and in general, I just think they suck. LED is the way to go. Now, we are cool and always have light at half the energy cost. Amazon makes LED lighting affordable and I am so glad I switched. Now it is your turn. You will be glad you did.

These are nicely bright floods that use just a fraction of the electricity of halogens. The color temp is very much daylight and they are instant on.My preference would be to use these in a place where the blue end spectrum isn't mixed with bright whites.

Bought several in last part of Feb, 2013. 25% of them died within a week :( Ordered Lemonbest brand to replace them (which are still working fine with no failures)

The light quality of these lights is very white and very bright it is exactly what I was looking for however the package did arrive one day later than I was promised

This bulb seems to be well made however in comparison to GE, Phillips and other no name brands has a very narrow radius of light and the Daylight (5000k) color seems off verses the others out there. Personally not to my liking but maybe to others.

Color quality/rendering is grayish (blueish/gray) It doesn't have regular bulb's warmth. Its not even bright white like flourescent. I would use only for garage/utility rooms. Maybe because of narrow beam it doesn't appear bright, like 45w.

It has a very narrow beam maybe 30 deg. certainly bright enough to read by, did not check out dimmability
