Is the measurement for the dressing part of the patch or the entire patch?

The measurement for the entire patch is a minimum of 5 cm x 5cm. For instance the patches I have are 5.5 cm x 5.3 cm.

do you need to use tape to attach this dressing please?

It needs to be covered by a separate dressing. This is to stop it sticking to the wound
