The Max should be 130 Amps , just make sure that the pigtail plugs in the correct position.You might want to go to the autp parts store to make sure this alternator is the correct one. The model you are asking about is the 105 amps.

Bottom line,, it should.. I used it on a 6.0 gas, I bet the voltage will be a little different on the 4.8, Might fry up some of your electronics??? I'd keep looking try to find definite 4.8 fit

There was no core charge but I have to say these are made in China. The one they sent me was defective so I went with a car quest reman one andd have had no problems. Sent the ac delco back.

I had one go bad as well but I changed it myself and Amazon refunded the price of the part
