I make a lot of candy <chocolate> and the place I get my chocolate from, sells this kind of coloring. From that merchant I can purchase 9 bottles of basic colors for $39.00 plus shipping. These colors are Metallic & Pearl sheen, which is great as I already have the basics and wanted the colors to decorate my White Chocolate Easter Eggs.I feel the size of the bottles is just fine - you only need a really small amount <to color white chocolate> and really if you use a lot - you're not using it properly. I don't do the airbrush thing, I use my tiny paint brushes to color my chocolate, and these small bottles last a really long time.For my basic color set - I've had it for 2 years and the colors aren't even half used yet - and I add drops to my chocolate and also paint with my brushes.All in all, they were delivered fast, not one bottle leaked which is great! They're super pretty colors and are a great price! And using these colorants in my chocolate doe not take away from the flavor one bit!Worth every penny!

I have always used gel color but my nephew wanted a cake that required metallic gold and I could not get the gel in time for his birthday so I decided to try airbrushing the color. I had airbrush tools for paint so I decided I would pick up a cheap gun and give it a try. I LOVED IT. The gold came out gorgeous, shiny to the point that I was being asked if we could eat it. I also used some of green and blue and colors came out brilliant.I did not know what to expect for the color or how long the little bottles would last but after using it I think I am hooked. The little bottle goes a long way with great results, not sure I will go back to gel colors ever again.

These paints are awesome! I've never used paints on fondant before, but decided to give it a whirl since my daughter wanted a BB-8 cake. This was much simpler than trying to create a bunch of different colored fondants. I didn't use them in an airbrush, so I can't comment on that. I did use a paint brush for them and the coverage was incredible. The orange really came through. I used in the neighborhood of 10-15 drops for all the orange paint. The silver seemed a little more blue than silver, but once it dried, it too looked very good. Overall I'm very satisfied with how they worked and how the cake turned out. Now I need to find a use for all the coloring I have left.

I'm new to trying airbrush techniques on cakes. I purchased an airbrush tool bundle that came with regular colors and opted to get these metallic sheen ones too since I was working on a cake that would have windows. I'm really glad I did, because these are beautiful! Everyone was shocked that all of it was edible with how shiny the "paint" looked on the frosting. I was surprised by how little of the color can go a long way too. These aren't very big bottles and I thought I'd for sure run out of the ones I was using, but the coverage was fantastic and took only a few drops to make a lot of coverage over a VERY dark blue frosted cake (police car). I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. I've always loved AmeriColor gel colors and their airbrush colors are of the same quality. These are a great buy!

I love the sheen colors! This is a great kit for those who are just learning how to airbrush. I'm sold on the Americolor airbush colors (and food coloring) - it's one of the best I've seen on the market. The gold, green, blue and red sheens were our favorite - perfect for Christmas cookies. The only one we really don't like is the pearl sheen - it doesn't add any color. Perhaps mixing the pearl sheen with a solid color would work. I will warn you -- if you plan to freeze them - be really careful when you take them out. The condensation gets to the patterns and can blurry the design. We learned this the hard way at Christmas.

I got these with my first airgun - have used them as a spray and with a paintbrush.With the airbrush - they can clog if you use them straight. So, I'd recommend some vodka or vanilla/lemon extract to thin it down. May have to spray a few times, but better than heavy spray turning into no spray - then having to clean the tip to try again. Some colors just seem to work well, others are meh.Paintbrush - obviously you're going to have better coverage. My daughter and I used these and the normal colors to paint easter eggs this year - came out cool but they didn't fully dry with the weather we had.Worth getting, I will be buying replacements when I run out. The pearl is nice to finish off a paint job.

I used these recently for coloring rock candy for a cake and it turned out beautifully. I added equal parts vodka to dilute a bit, as I wanted light pastel rainbow colors. Worked liked a champ. The rainbow rock candy turned out just as I'd hoped. No complaints at all. As always, very pleased with the quality of Americolor.

Great stuff, has a nice metallic sheen, If you are doing a theme like an auto bot or cars or other things made of mettle this is great. My wife thinks people would be afraid to eat my cookies if I use the metallic color, but I love it. The yellow has a green gold look to it, kind of like an after market auto pain job of the 80's. I love it but remember to shake it up real good.
