What is the manufacturing date? lithium batteries have a self life even if not used. if this dates to the time of the hero 4 it is at end of life.

There were different batches so we cannot say for certain what the manufacturing date is unless we have the specific battery in hand. The first batches were manufactured in 2014, but there succeeding batches. It would be best to get in touch with the seller directly to get the information.
