“May contain milk” is ok for vegans generally (not all though and no disrespect meant) My daughter is vegan as am I but others in my family are not. Out kitchen cooks all sorts of food so technically all of our food “may contain” animal products by accident In the same way a factory that deals with different foods could accidentally cross contaminate.
