Typhon and the Winds of Destruction (5) (Heroes in Training)

We have been enjoying this series quite a bit. Action, adventure, group and sibling dynamics... it has it "all". Typhon was quite the icky creature of chaos, but it was fun to see a combination of Jack and the Beanstalk and Greek/Roman mythology. My 7 1/2 year old loved it and is eagerly awaiting the next in the series.(We started this series when my son was six. I have also given these books to his 11 month younger cousins - they devoured the first four with-in a few days of Christmas receipt. The books work well both as books to read a load or for the kids to read to themselves. My experience is with boys, and I think they are the primary target, but I like the books too, as does my sister, so I think young girls would too.)

My first grader is absolutly in love with this series. He will suddenly go quiet, and I'll find him on the couch completly captured inside these books! Good series for both boys and girls who are stepping up from easier chapter books such as the Dragon Masters series or the Notebook of Doom series!

My son raced through this series. Loved it. Made him want to know more about the Greek Gods.

Shows Olympian glory all the way. Very funny lullaby to typhoon. He is as slow as a turtle. To toddle

My son started reading this series in second grade with the first book about young Zeus. We have enjoyed every book and he says this is the best so far.

My son loves this series! He's 8 and a good reader, so he finishes them in just over an hour, but re-read them over and over, usually in order!

I am a huge fan of Greek mythology and this book is very entertaining. It really helped me the understand the missions they went on when they were young.

I like the seri sand it makes me so into it that I just have to read it

This was a very good book and if you get the entire series it is even better.
