Wine Opener & Preserver Gift Set

Exactly as advertised. I’m the only wine drinker in my home and so I need my wine to last several days because I certainly don’t like to drink a whole bottle in one day! And I’m not about to start buying boxes of wine! So far, the longest that my wine has been in the refrigerator is five days. Using this system It is tasted perfect each day.

My cordless one died so I figured I’d try this. I love the look of these. I like the part that will take the air out of the bottle and plug it up to preserve it for a few more days.

Buyer beware - this requires AAA batteries - it isn't rechargeable. Don't be fooled by the answered question that asks for a charging cable - there isn't one. Shame on me for not investigating this better before I bought it - I relied on the answered question.This is the 4th wine bottle opener of this type we have owned, but it is the first that requires batteries. The others were rechargeable. They worked for many bottles on a charge, but it wasn't ever an issue because you just stored them on the charging stand. But not with this opener. You have to change the batteries when it dies.It's too soon to say how long the batteries will last. I'm skeptical. There is a lot of mechanical motion and force needed to open a bottle, it's not like a calculator with an LED display and no moving parts. On a fresh set of batteries it already sounds a bit labored, but it does get the job done.I would never have bought this if I realized it was battery operated. Time will tell whether it was a mistake. I plan to post an update when I have more data.Disappointed to have this happen from the Brookstone brand. I think of Brookstone as having the coolest, easiest to use, best in class gadgets. The battery issue makes this fell like a knockoff from a no-name company.

I have to see this set is very good to show off in front of you friends. They are amazed and surprised. lol. The preserver is good, but it is more useful for a single person who need multiple days to finish a bottle. I don't use very often.
