Success Eyewear Reading Glasses 2 Pair Rimless Ultra Lightweight Readers for Men and Women

I am a professional musician with jazz legend Jean Luc Ponty. I have prescription glasses for reading music , books etcand also distance glasses for driving. Most of the time though I use readers. I can watch TV, walk through a store, see signs and normal everyday things with good quality readers.Before a recent tour of the US, my 250 power readers fell apart. I ran to Walmart and they only had expensive 275 power readers but I was stuck I had a plane to catch in 12 hours. I bought them.I like to have lightweight glasses, I have always been bothered by rimmed glasses that weigh more than I likeand the glasses I purchased were also much heavier then I liked.Later on the tour while in Chicago I got tired of the heavy readers and went to a dept store there.They also did not have 250 power but their glasses at 275 were much lighter than the ones I had.Long story short when the tour was over I wanted to find readers at 250 power that were super lightweight.After a search on Amazon I found "Success Eyewear" and searched lightweight readers at 250.There was a wide selection of a lot of cool eyewear and soon I found what looked exactly like what I wantedand in addition there were TWO pairs for the same price I had gotten the one old readers for. I figured , what the heckIll try these , and I made my order.The 2 pair of glasses arrived on time and to my amazement they were light as a feather but looked verywell built, all the connections were solid.I put them on and to my complete surprise they were perfect, fit great, the lense was stylish and I was already super happy. Then the surprise of surprises came, the new glasses that I bought were clearer by far than either of the 275 power. It wasn't that 275 was too much for me, it was that these glasses have better lenses. I went back and forth10 or more times to make sure I wasn't somehow mis-judging. No it was true these glassesat half the price of discount stores were better quality and perfect for me.One note however the glasses come with a protective film on part of the lenses which was hard to see.When I first put them on there was an area of each lense that was a bit blurry. It took me a minute to realizethat these glasses had these protectors. I took them off and that's when I had the great quality I just wrote about.The company reached out to me after my purchase as some responsible companies do to make sure I was happywith my purchase. I wrote "Hanna" back immediately to let her know that I was thrilled.I am also thrilled to share this all with you in Amazon land.thanks for reading!

Turns out that the sticker is supposed to be removed. The seller sent me an email (very polite) and told me to remove the sticker.Voila! They are just fine. Duh.I ordered the 1.75 strength and found them to be completely unusable.1. They are constructed by adding a corrective oval piece to a generic plain lens.2. The corrective oval piece only covers about 60% of the total lens.3. The corrective oval piece is VERY inconsistent in its magnification.I found it literally impossible to read anything with them. Reading without anything at all was easier.I would view this as an entirely fraudulent product. The people making these have to be aware how ineffective they are.DO NOT BUY!

Not sure if I managed to be shipped a box of glasses which had already been returned (plastic and stickers were still in place), but these were absolutely horrid! The first pair I pulled out obviously had a twisted frame. When I set them on the table, you could see that they couldn't lie flat when open--one arm would always be lifted up. Further, one arm opened a full 40 plus degrees than the other.Knew I'd be returning them just because one of the pairs was a mess. But figured I'd check the other pair to see if it was a fluke. The second pair looked as though they must have been put on a head the size of pumpkin. The arms opened well beyond the sides of the frame with no resistance. When I tried putting them on my head to check, they just slid right off.Again, don't know if it's truly crappy quality control or whether I was sent someone else's return of defective glasses, but I definitely won't be ordering a replacement from this vendor.

At first I was disappointed a bit because they are narrow in height but I got used to it.The good part was that they were half the price than what I paid for at retail. Here I got 2 pairs for the same price I paid for one at a well known pharmacy. The reason I bought these is because the one pair I had broke where the screw is holding the glass.These lens, however, are not glass and at about 10 weeks of alternate wear the plexi (my guess on the material) broke near the screw. I said alternate wear because I have a third pair that I use and the other one that I received in this purchase, I have kept for back up, which is good now that one of the 2 just broke last night. So it is really up to you if you wanna buy this pair as long as you know they will not last long.

I purchased these before, and they were my favorite reading glasses. But they did a design change. The attachment points used to be flat in shape, and you could not see them when wearing the glasses. Now, the attachment points are round, and very apparent when wearing the glasses. No idea why they changed the shape of the attachment points. The picture shown shows the original design (flat connectors). So you will not get what the picture shows. They need to go back to the original design.

This is my 2nd order. I lost one of the glasses from my first order and was panicking a little bit not having a spare. I'm including the words from my first review because I just love these reading glasses:I've been looking for some good rimless reading glasses for a while. These are perfect. I usually am on the computer and watching TV at the same time. The lenses on these are narrow enough that I can look back and forth between the TV and computer without having to bob my head up and down. The "arms" on the side are very thin and lightweight. Not sure how durable they will be over time, but with two pair at a very reasonable price, I have a backup...just in case. (Update: They have turned out to be VERY durable! I've worn just one pair for well over a year and still going strong!)
