Good Product, Its about time someone made something that works well, oh and it does not catch fire like other brands.
This is comparable to the Boscam TS-832 600MW. With the heat sink this stays cooler than any one i have had. They all seem to run hot, and some just run so hot that they burn up if your aircraft is not moving. The first thing I did when it arrived was to hook it up to a 11.1 Lipo battery, attach the camera and let it sit for 20 minutes. It was warm to the touch, but not like others that are almost on fire. Good Product.. Easy to switch channels, heat sink is great, get a good antenna of course, and the price was economical. I suggest buying one.. Everyone is buying the tiny little 5.8ghz transmitters and they all overheat even at 4.5V. As it keeps running that hot, it will burn up in time and its done. My Original Boscam TS-832 is still working well after 2 years. Why?? Its not a knock off, its a real Boscam. I'm so tired of these crappy products. How to tell? Packaging. If it comes in a box with manufacturer data, all the info correct, Yes, Read the box and compare it to the product you bought, packaged properly and bubble and cushioning, Pretty damn sure its the original manufacture. If it comes in a zip lock bag, send it back, its a knock off and will not last. Oh, it may work for a short while but you wiull be buying a new one soon enough. This transmitter is original packaging, a good buy...

Exceptional VTX!
I use two of these, have had no problems. Zero. Range is fantastic, atleast with the clover leaf antenna it is. I have gone over 4 miles with it, many many times now. It is my got to vtx for all my planes now.

Failed before I even got in the air.
UPDATE 8/24: Changing my review to 4 stars as seller was kind enough to ship a replacement vtx that is now working well. The chips still get a bit warm but this replacement board is much more stable and does not turn my quad into lava. Range is also much improved on the replacement board. Will update again if I notice anything else!Within 2-3 times of being powered on it started failing. By the 5th time I powered it on it would no longer transmit, only get extremely hot (melting anything near it). I triple checked all wiring and connections but found no external short.

Burning electrical smell, not working
Fast Shipping, product arrived ontime and looked in good condition. The transmitter worked well for first 5 minutes on quad, after that video feed stopped and the transmitter gave off a smoking electrical smell and became very hot. It seems that other people have had similar issues with this, hopefully Flysight can get it fixed. I am in the process of returning it now. I don't think this should be an issue with a 50$ TX.Gave a star back for quick return, will keep an eye out for upgraded products in the future.

Onboard FAN causes video interference.
I don't like that this doesn't have a 5v voltage regulator. Documentation is very sparse. The Amazon product page has more information than the included directions. Doesn't tell you how much current it draws. From my own measurements, it draws about 900ma. Also, with the fan running, it introduces interference with the video feed. If the fan is stopped then the problem goes away and there's no way to turn off the fan nor would you want to as this thing gets hot. Also, there is a microphone on the back of the PCB which will transmit audio. This is fine if you want to listen to the fan and interference. Nothing on the product page or manual state anything about the microphone. I emailed support and asked if there was a mic on board and they replied back and asked me what I was going to use the VTX for and I told them it was for an FPV quadcopter and they never replied back.Wish this had options to disable the fan and run it at a lower wattage but its full blast or nothing. Voltage input says 6-16 volts but there is no indication whether or not the VTX needs 12volts to operate and if there's an internal voltage booster or not. In terms of getting power from this, what you feed it is what you get out. So if you power it directly with 16V then 16V will be output from the output pins. Not sure how useful this would be unless you planned on powering a 12v device or something. This could have been a really good product but I think its going back for a refund. It's pretty heavy and the fan itself makes the product unusable due to the interference it produces. Perhaps I might have lived with it if I hadn't stopped the fan for a second with my finger and saw how good the video was without the fan running. I even tried powering it with a DC filter and the problem is the same.

Not bad
So far not bad if you use the right antennas for it I'm still playing with them haven't had any problems with it overheating, up date, try some new antennas and works even better now, team black sheep..

This company is truly incredible!
This product is fantastic however anything I say is secondary to what I am about to say about the company! Flyight in c. Is AWESOME. I HAD an issue with one of the transmitters just like any other electronic device. But it's what they did and how they handled the issue that was entirely impressive. Before I buy anything now I check their store before I buy any hobby stuff to see if they sell itt,T THEY ARE INCREDIBLE! They are the best!

Disappointed
Works ok, not to the range stated. Flickers periodically at only a 1/4 mile away. Haven't tried further I assume flickering will only get more frequent.
