You can't tell the meat from the peppers
I tryed 1 the other day. I was totally taken back for a few reasons. First I opened up the burrito and couldn't distinguish a pepper from a piece of meat! The manufacturer obviously puts the ingredients in a very big vat and either it grinds for two long or it's their Grandma's way of creating her yummy products. The latter would turn grandma over in here grave ( rest her soul). I say that because on the wrapper theirs the whole story how the company started years ago from Grandma's receipes. Your kidding me right.Let's face it, it's always available in Walmart and we all know what culinary delights await us at Wally World. I don't have a back round say keeping in Mexican tradition. I'm a white boy from NC.I can tell you this having a few Latino friends. They would be insulted calling these the real deal. Family tradition yea, sure it's. I'm nit sure but do know if GOYA decided to make and sell burritos you'd be buying the real deal. A great product of you can't find your dentures. It's all crushed together... FYI I mentioned Goya only because the food quality. I do not endorse any of their products.Just calling it as I see it. And yea, tasting it. BLAH!!

They changed the flavor
I liked the original recipe of the bean and cheese burrito. I don't like how it changed to spicy. They're a good fast dinner and my husband still likes them so we keep some on hand. The value is pretty good so we like to buy the bigger bag. If you like spicier, you'll enjoy them.

Overpriced here.
Way overpriced here. This is 24 individually wrapped single burritos for $54. It should not cost that much. You can get 24 of these burritos by purchasing 3 of the family packs (8 count) at any supermarket for around $4.50 each (in expensive Southern California). That's less than $15 total. As far as the product itself is concerned, I buy these all the time from Ralph's and Stater Bros, and they taste great. Excellent with a side of sour cream or guacamole. As a bachelor, these make great complete meals or as a quick snack.

Where's a picture of the nutritional side of the burrito wrapper - MIA
On this Amazon listing as of Sep, 2023 there are 3 pictures: the white burrito itself, the front of the individual burrito wrapper, and the cardboard box that all the burritos are shipped in. Note, this burrito is 5.2 oz vs the 4 oz Monterrey cheese and bean burritos sold 8 to a package in grocery stores. So it would look good for Monterrey to show the nutritional value side of the individual wrapper. Because the Monterrey 4 oz burrito has only 200 calories, but if this 5.2 oz burrito is 30 percent larger, than the calories should be 30% larger eg 260 calories. But from Monterrey's Amazon listing, we will never know. But the comparison between the Monterrey grocery store 8 pack bean and cheese burritos and the store brand (Walmart or Kroger) 8 pack of 4 oz bean and cheese burritos shows the store brand 4 oz burrito has 250 calories per burrito, while the Monterrey brand 4 oz burrito only has 200 calories! Most important, taste comparison: From my own taste test of the Monterrey 4 oz 200 calorie burrito vs the Wal-Mart package 4 oz 250 calorie burrito; I have to ask the Monterrey folks, where is the cheese taste? The Monterrey 4 oz bean and cheese burrito is missing the cheese taste that is more prevalent in the store brand burritos: Wal Mart or Kroger brand. Both store brands are cheaper than the comparable Monterrey brand package of 4 oz burritos and both have 25% more calories than the Monterrey bean and cheese burrito (which appears to be because of less cheese filing in the Monterrey burritos. )
