Work well
These were new to me, I read about them in some other review -- but they work well, and don't compromise the connection to the sander. Dust passes right through, at least with my Bosch. The pad will last much longer with this.

Saves Your Sanding Pad
I was having to buy a new pad for my Bosch 6" random orbit sander over twice per year and they're not cheap. I love Abranet discs because of their life and superior dust collection but the hooks on the Velcro protrude slightly through the mesh and get worn during sanding and eventually they're unable to hold the sanding disc. This protector goes between the pad and the abrasive and becomes a much less expensive sacrificial piece. I didn't even know this product existed until I was in my local Woodcraft store and it came up in conversation with the employee there. Now, when the hooks eventually wear, I'll just slap on a new protector and keep sanding. I wish I had known about these years ago.

Nice net disk interface
These things have some serious hold on the net disks really have to get the edge up and put some serious pull on it to get it off. not good or bad just an observation

Does not lineup with Festool Rotex holes
Holes overlap some with Rotex but not enough and leaves a lot of dust behind. The product is probably great for Mirka, but not for my use. I bought because the ones for Festool were back ordered and several weeks out

a must have
If you're going to use mesh sandpaper this is a must have or you'll burn through the sanders velcro grip. I am using on with both of my Festool sanders and have been surprised how long they have lasted.

Very good product
I now have had the experience of using a Bosch 6" Random Orbit Sander with and without this product on two deck sanding jobs and one set of kitchen cabinets (probably 1200+ sq ft total) . Cabinets and 1st deck without I managed to ruin two or three different sanding pads and on my own deck using ONLY 1 pad protector with 0 loss of sanding pads. That alone has paid for itself. No problems removing velcro sanding paper and the pad protector never came off or took any heat damage that I can tell.

Protective pad
I got this interface pad to use with my Festool sander. The abranet sanding discs will stick to the Festool sander without this, but because the sanding discs are so thin, they will wear the stick-and-loop facing on the sander's pad unless you use this interface pad. The pad also allows the Festool dust collection to work through the pad, pad protector and the abranet paper.

OMG....this is a life changer
So my 6 inch pneumatic sander had a Peal and stick pad...this used the same thread as my Ingersoll Rand and looks like a pretty standard thread for these sanders...Mine came with an additional Velcro pad saver thing...it was installed before I got it... but my sander now has great dust collection.Recommend and not just for Mirka sanders...like any 6 inch sander could use this. The pad itself has the regular 6 hole pattern for standard hook and loop paper...and if you use a mesh like the 3M stuff...then it will pick up dust you other sander left behind...

Necessity to sanding.
These pad protectors are an absolute necessity, for any serious woodworker.I spend a few hours a day, sanding down lumber. And it really can wear out your sanding pad, in a hurry. These guys are a great investment to save your sanders hook and loop pad. Which would be considerably more expensive than one of these little pads.Buy them! šMirka ā¤ļø
