Good price and decent performance - fit is important
I owned a pair of these a few years ago and eventually sold them because they were a bit underwhelming. I've since realised that fit is super important for ear buds. I've found some tips which fit my ears well and I just put those (Spinfit) tips on the earbuds - without trying the supplied tips although I may try them later. With the right tips these buds are good. They are light, they fit comfortably and sound good. I've tried them with movies, music and the venerable Alan Parsons Sound Check CD (very useful because it has single and multiple instrument tracks, recorded well with little processing). These handle all of that very well. The sound is nicely balanced with no low end booming or shrill top end. The microphone and and controls work well enough for me - certainly well enough for use with a Duolingo French course. The gun metal finish is nicer than the black I had previously and the ear buds look and feel more expensive than they are. As to noise isolation, they cut down on background noise a little bit but nothing like ANC can do. They are quite sensitive and on an iPad can go very loud, but not so much on my Android phone. On the iPad they sound loud at half volume but on the Android phone 3/4 volume is just about loud enough. Overall, I'm pleased with these earbuds this time around especially for the price. Now I can bin my 20 year old Shure earbuds because I've got a more competent replacement pair.

Excellent upgrade over regular earphones.
If you're looking for a clear upgrade over regular earphones but still on a budget, these are an excellent choice and the best that I have tried in this price range so far.Overall, they sound excellent, look very attractive but are slightly let down by the flimsy feeling cable.Positives of these earphones:• Lovely, warm sound which seems to work well with the many different genres I’ve tried them on.• Very sleek & attractive design.• Comfortable earbuds – I find that often it is difficult to find earbuds that fit my ears perfectly, but these do, and they are comfortable to wear for extended periods of listening. Also, as a result of the good fit, they also cancel out noise very well which is a bonus.Negatives of these earphones:• Cable feels a little flimsy compared to others that I have used. The cable was also packaged quite badly – the packing looks a little low budget and by displaying the earphones through the plastic window of the packaging, it means that the cable was awkwardly bent in several places to achieve this, which is likely not great for its longevity.• Slight cable noise when the cable moves whilst wearing, but this is a minor issue.

Better than expected
These are very nice earbuds for the money. The sound quality is excellent with very good clear bass for such small units. These were for my wife who wanted corded ones rather than wireless as she always forgets to charge the wireless ones. The cord is a very tough braided cable and is almost impossible to kink so no tangled mess in her bag. Also comes with a decent little case.

Good enough
It's mostly ok and what I expected for the price. The sound quality feels weird to me sometimes, it sounds "harsh", like the metals in songs sound specially sharp. I haven't used it to work out, so I'm not sure if it's good for that. It does block sound as much as it can, specially if you use the correct size for the earbuds. It doesn't have active noise cancelling, so don't expect a miracle. The sound quality for podcasts and meetings is nice and the microphone is good.I specially like the design, it's well built and modern, it comes with a cute pouch to store it as well. The wire is long and easier to untangle because it's a bit harder than most earphones I've used (I enjoy it!) The jack plug part is nice as well as it doesn't bend, which was the reason my last iPhone earphone started malfunctioning. One thing that irritates me is that the controls don't work on my macbook, I can't play and pause using them, but they work perfectly with my Pixel phone. I read online that's a common problem thanks to Apple's implementation. It's not a deal breaker though. Anyway, as I said, for the price it's a good buy.

Consistently Faulty, Bad customer service
This is the 2nd pair of these buds Ive bought. Sound quality is great, thats where the pros end. On both pairs Ive owned the right earbud inexplicably stops working. Starts by suddenly going very quiet then just dying completely. During normal use and not moving or yanking on the cable it just starts cutting out the sound. As I said, not the first time its happened. Can’t return as is after 2-3 months typically. Sound magic offer no support and just pass you off to amazon. Only assistance amazon offers is recommends you to contact manufacturer… endless circle.
