An 8YO's dream of punchy, pacy story telling
My 2 girls (10&8) absolutely adore this series. In her own words, my 8YO was particularly impressed that there was no "love stuff".The story is punchy, engaging, and pacy, with some lovely cliffhangers that means both my kids come hammering downstairs to update us and beg for the next book. For a bedtime read there hasn't been a series in our house this addictive for some time!My 8YO is a slow, every word reader, and my 10YO is a super fast skim kind of reader, and both have devoured and enjoyed these books.

Great book!!!!
My daughter has read the first two books and said that they were AMAZING she couldn't stop telling me all about it and I was so close to reading it myself! She is in the middle of the third book and is enjoying it so far. But is a bit worried that there will be no more books after this! š

The Third Addition!
Please welcome the third novel to the Scarlet and Ivy series! "The Dance In The Dark" is better than ever!Threatening messages suddenly start appearing around the school, and this all takes place while Miss Fox is still on the run ...A girl is pushed out the window, and a horrific food poisoning event leads to the reputation of Rookwood being partly destroyed. But this is nothing Scarlet, Ivy, and Ariadne can't figure out, right?A real page turner, the third novel just gets better and better! Then Miss Finch suddenly dissappears, and the eccentric Madame Zelda takes her place. What has happened to the ballet teacher?I highly recommend this book - Rose is also back - Please consider buying (very reasonable price - good value!)Probably a 10 - 13 age range, but really suitable for most ages! :)I hope my reviews helped you! ^_^By Sophie aged 11 :D

Something a bit different
My little girl (9 years old) read the first two Scarlett and Ivy books while on holiday, she loved the fact they weren't average girly book with lots of mystery and suspense to the story. This book lived up to previous two, she loved it It's a shame there are no more books in the series. I would highly recommend this book for girls age 9> who would like to read something a bit different, a bit more exciting and a book that will capture their imagination.

Bickering a step too far....
I loved the storyline of these books but with 'Dance in the Dark' I finally became irritated at the level of violent fighting between the girls. Without giving anything away, the dining room brawl was just not credible and put me off completely so I shall forego the continuing storyline and return to Katherine Woodfine and Robin Stevens for my reading.

Fabulous book
This is one of the best books in history. You will have to read the series in order to understand it but it is amazing. I am a fan of mystery books but this one is just amazing! If you like this series then you'll probably like the murder most unladylike series. I hope you like reading this book as much as I have.
