Rich, Fine Sugar Great for Baking
Bought this sugar because the birthday cake recipe I chose for my son's birthday called for light brown sugar. I read muscovado sugar was true brown sugar and was great for baking, so I used this in place of the traditional grocery brand. First of all, the bag was much smaller than I expected, but I had plenty for my doubled recipe for a half a sheet cake. Also, this stuff tastes delicious just on its own. It's a finer sugar than I expected (I think I was expecting it more like Sugar in the Raw, but it's not at all that coarse), and it was very easy to incorporate into the batter. Guests commented on how delicious the cake was, and I attribute at least part of this to the use of this great sugar. It gave a distinctly richer taste to what was otherwise essentially just a yellow cake with chocolate chips. I would definitely use this sugar again.

Tastes great! Package indicates that there is coconut added to the muscavado sugar. It tastes good but should have a clear ingredient label if it includes anything besides the sugar I'm purchasing.

Tastes reminiscent of light "brown" sugar, but much fluffier and airy
Yum, for the tongue and no guilt about over-farming super-mega corps, helping out a co-op of hard working real people, and a price that makes it easy to indulge. What's not to love? Ok, well, it's still SUGAR, so the fact that we can't eat too much of it for our health might be a slight negative.I grew up snacking on sugar canes. Family spent nearly a decade in Hawaii back in the 60s, where roadside vendors etc sold short stalks of cane to suck on like a lollipop. This has a a similar taste to what I remember the cane tasting like, as it should. I have never had any other crystal sugar that did. I bought this to use in a recipe for an acid peel for my face, knowing full well that 2 oz in the face product was going to leave a WHOLE lot left for my morning joe. Man, I never thought I would feel anything other than guilt putting SUGAR in my coffee. Can't wait to try this in other edible recipes!

Perfect for Arab (Turkish) coffee, homemade Ice Cream, and fermented lemonade.
Excellent flavor that has less of a pronounced molasses flavor than the dark Muscovado's.We find it is better for Arab (Turkish) coffee than the dark versions. It made some of the best homemade vanilla custard ice cream I've had and works good in lemonade giving it a more robust flavor than regular processed sugar and not over powering like the the dark Muscovado.Other than that it has a very similar flavor to other Muscovado's we've tried, just milder, which we prefer.

Way Better Than Regular Sugar
I was intrigued when I read the description of this product on Amazon and after using this sugar in several whole bean coffees, my expectations were exceeded. The addition of this sugar enhanced the flavor and provided additional depth, complexity as well as sweetness to each coffee. In addition, this sugar is a wonderful addition to hot oatmeal. I would certainly consider using it as a replacement for white (or brown) sugar in other recipes which call for sugar.I also commend Amazon for their extremely prompt delivery and great communication.
