Everything good. Screen backlight not great, a small price to pay though
Excellent! I had a $200 fluke and it was amazing but somebody must have touched volts when it was on continuity. I’ve tried a bunch of meters. I’d generally get the cheapest one I could find just because if they break or get lost I would care. But this fluke mock is excellent in every way. It’s quick to give you numbers, doesn’t take a min to read numbers. The arms are on the slimmer side to fit in tight pressure switches. The only complaint is the screen backlight only turns on for about 10 secs and then it shuts off on its own. I’d prefer manual on and off.

Best value meter, highly recommend for anyone in hvac!
This is a great meter, and for the cost it compares equally with meters costing 3 to 5 times as much. Very heavy duty, I use this everyday and am quite pleased with it. Troubleshoots hvac systems with ease, capacitance testing was one of the main reasons why I bought this meter. Cant say enough, going to buy another one.

Can not check Air Conditioner start up amperage (LRA).
Amperage range can not be manually set. (3 Ranges: 4 amp, 40 amp, 400 amp) When pressing "MAX" button to be able to view an air conditioner start up amps (LRA), amperage meter range is automatically set to the current range when "MAX" button is pressed. Therefore the 400 amp range can not be selected when pressing "MAX" button. This results with a "OL" reading. (Start up amps duration is a fraction of a second) My AC should have a start up of 100 amps but can not check. Neither will I be able to check same after adding a Hard Start kit. This was why I purchased meter. Could not know this before buying.
