If sound quality is what you're after, look no further.
This is a no frills device in that it only plays music, however, and this is important, it does it brilliantly. The digital to analog converters are top-notch and the sound is incredibly warm, even better than an iPod. It plays every file format that I was able to throw at it, including lossless formats like flac.It handles one bit files (if you know how to make them or find them). I personally archive vinyl to that format and this player will play them.Everything about it including the onboard op amps are clearly top notch. The construction of the unit itself is well-made, I wish it wasn't square on the corners though I wish the corners were rounded but I do understand that durability and construction quality was made paramount. It is extremely well constructed, so I can see how squaring it off was necessary. The full color display is the perfect size for what you need to do and for what you need to see. The controls are easy to understand and all of the switches and buttons are well-made.Battery life is excellent. I haven't used it long enough to calculate the average battery for average volume playing-- but it doesn't matter as it lasts a long long time. There are many other features as well, including Bluetooth. But again, what matters is the sound quality. I have no way of showing this to you in a review obviously (and even a video wouldn't help with this) but when putting this player side by side with any other player or computer that I have, this device beats them all, hands down. It just really sounds great and by great I mean really great. If extreme audiophile quality in your audio is what you're looking for then you cannot go wrong with this device. It's worth the money that I spent on it.

Worthy Replacement for iPOD Classic
My iPOD Classic is at end of life. Battery replacement would cost more than this player. There will never be a one-hand human interface as slick as Apple's, but this player comes close. Operation is easy enough. You can browse by file names as well as tracks, genres, artists, etc. After loading a 128 GB micro SD card with more than 12,000 tracks, the player took a while to create an index, but after that, finding any track in the collection does not take very long. The screen is very legible and is packed with information. If the track has an embedded photo, the photo fills the screen with the other information overlaid on top. Sound quality is excellent. The housing is sculptured metal. The micro SD card is recessed. The easy way to remove and insert it is to push on it with another micro SD card. A spinner wheel is used to select tracks and operating functions. It is too stiff for one-hand operation. Button lock is automatic when the screen blanks. A short push of the power button brings the human interface back to life. Comparing the iRULU F20 to my iPOD Classic: Size slightly smaller, weight is much less. Storage capacity is greater. Operation is more difficult, but acceptable. Build quality is equal. Battery life of the iPOD was 20 hours when new. The iRULU battery life is specified at 10 hours. Loading music onto the iRULU does not require special software and the file structure is standard. The iPOD requires using iTunes software and the file structure is proprietary. All things considered, I am very happy with my new iRULU.

Meh, if you spend over $100 on anything, you should love it.
Look, I am going to be short because a lot of the other reviews already cover the qualities of this DMP.What they all failed to talk about was the feel of this thing.Holding it in your hand feels wrong. Its like holding a chunk of hard plastic that broke off a airline chair. Its ridgid, its sharp on the edges, and it has a lot of edges. Few of the buttons feel right holding it in one hand. The buttons are fine, but the scroll wheel is really bad. Your thumb doesn't grip it well and its hard to move.I have had em all from the original MP3 Walkmans, Zune, iPods, and newer cheap players that run on Android.I want to hold this thing in my palm and have access to my wonderful music collection using a device that is worthy of it. And for over $100, I am sorry but this just is bad.Moving on to the software and interface.I have always prefered the Zune interface to others. The touch scroller was really good and its sad that no one has been able to replicate it.I have a huge gripe. The software is literally the same as numerous other brands. The interface is the same as other players from other brands. In fact, if you seach for other players on Amazon, you will find numerous clones of the same player. I guarentee that over in China, they are buying the same software and chipset from the same supplier and slapping on a unique case that are all roughly the same weight and size. One star for good sound. Two star for being easy to drag and drop music in.Thats it folks, if you want good sound, this is not bad. If you want ease, its there. But if you are looking for something that is worthy of your awesome collection, look elsewhere.

Super nice player! highly recommended it!
This HIFI player arrived yesterday, and I am very satisfied with this machine! It goes with a metal chassis and buttons are metal as well. Really well built. The sound quality is amazing, it also connects well to the radio or my headphone. It supports lossless sound quality and all audio format, and it didn't give me recognition problem. Size is not very large and very light, so I believe it will be good for my morning jogging. Indeed a very good deal in this price range, Just love it!!!
