Works perfectly
Unbeknown to me, but a little piece of plastic are broken off something inside my MacBook Pro mid 2012 and had lunch at self in the fan. Before opening up the MacBook I just presumed it was a slightly warped blade on the fan inside - so I just instantly ordered this one on Amazon.I wasn’t 100% sure on how genuine or what effect would be like but it turns out it’s absolutely perfect. The old fan turns out to be okay to be fair, but I thought I’d replace it now that I had the piece anyway. It’s much quieter now and the fan kicks in.

So good it could be an OEM replacement
To start, I have a MacBook Pro 13" mid 2010 model. which has been running for most of its life and working hard. Eventually the time came when the poor little fan would start to wobble and wear out, there is only so much that small bearings can take, unloved and uncared for. However in order to prevent a failure to the system, I purchased the cooling fan listed for my model.Delivery was super quick, and the fan was identical to the one that came out of my system, down to the same brand and labelling. Bearing in mind (pun intended) the old fan was quite noisy at 2k RPM, not unbearable but distinctive. So I got the tool kit out, removed the old fan and replaced it with the new one. I reassembled the MacBook and applied power. Hmmmm, did I do this right, no noise no sound at all... quick check on the status told me the fan was operational and loading the laptop up certainly confirmed that the fan was working, not that it was noisy, but that it was whisper quite at 3k+ RPM, just as the original was all those years ago. So another 10 years before I need to replace this one, or do I do it in 6 or 7 years as a preventative maintenance measure?Would I recommend, defiantly yes and I can whisper that to you, as I am once again smiling in shear bliss and silence at my remarkable MacBook Pro and its new fan.

Works exactly like the original part.
The bearing of the cooling fan in my MBP was stating to get noisy, so i decided to change it. Very simple job but do remember to disconnect the battery first. The fan is exactly the same as the original, same part number etc. It tested fine, works quietly and the laptop remains cool. And the price was good.My only concern is that it came in a cardboard envelop. These are delicate. Amazon, please add some padding. Hence four-stars.

Perfect for MacBook Pro Mid-2012 A1278 13-inch
This fan was reviewed as being as good as the original and for good reason - it's exactly the same as the fan that came out of my MacBook. Same stickers, same barcode, same part number, same everything; the original in your MacBook Pro will be a probably be a Sunon fan too!For the cost, it's a no-brainer. Once the back is off the machine, unscrew the old fan and lift up the connector, drop the new fan in, connect and pop the screws back.Silence is restored and my faithful machine gets a new lease of life.

Great fan for MacBook Pro late 2011
I fitted this to my MacBook Pro late 2011, works perfectly. I didn’t realise how bad my fan had got but the metal base would sometimes be too hot to touch so thought it was best to treat myself to a new fan. I did my research, watched loads of videos of how to do it then searched the part number on amazon and it took me to this one. Amazed that when I took out the old fan it is exactly the same. 3 weeks in and it’s working lovely. Recommend!Tip: if you don’t clean the inside of your MacBook regularly, opening it up (disable battery) and giving it a clean is a good first step. Do not hoover, use a paintbrush to collect the dust.

Perfect for MacBook Pro 13 Early 2011
I had to replace the fan that came with my MacBook Pro 13 inch early 2011 model because it was making users noises and wasn't functioning properly. This new fan came in a small plastic bag and I am pleased to say it works really well. No noises and keeps the temperature of the computer low: I am happy so far with it and the price is very good. Good value for money. Replacing it in an Apple Store would have been much more expensive. So I just did it myself with a screwdriver and it was really easy.

Works well and easy to fit.
My 2012 MacBook Pro’s fan stopped working and I thought I’d have a go at fixing it myself as it looked fairly easy on YouTube. It took less than 10 minutes to fit and does exactly what it’s supposed to. Glad I did this and probably saved myself a lot of money taking it to Apple.
