Quality product, even better customer service
Bought as a Christmas present for my son. Loves it. He plays with his BMC sets more than any toy I've purchased daily after school. He knows a ton about different WWII battles. He loves the level of detail and ways he can position his soldiers. Inspired him to sit and watch "Flags of our Fathers." I hope he gets on jeopardy someday, and there's an Iwo Jima category. He's not even ten yet.But the real hero in this story is Jeff from BMC. Christmas morning, my son opened it, and a piece was broken in transit. Possibly having become brittle from the cold snap we had this year. I emailed Amazon expecting an auto-reply and thought I'd need a complete return, which would be a real downer for my son. Check out the attached reply. Jeff responded within hours. ON CHRISTMAS DAY!! He had the replacement part out the next day, and it was like having Christmas twice as he opened it and put it together with his other pieces. Thanks Jeff!Pros:- Detail is amazing- The hillside has lots of places like tranches to position your soldiersSorta but not really Cons:- BTW, this set is a massive make. Hopefully, you have the floor the size of the Yamato- Several reviews cite the same... If you have tan, dark green, or grey floors, your F*$#@D. These are like booby traps in 'Nam, especially the toy soldiers in the crouched position. They are slightly less painful than legos, but the sound they make when they crunch is unbearable.

Saddle Up!
This was more than I expected. The figures are based on the expensive lead Iwo Jima collection from King and Country so pretty cool. The AMTRAC and Sherman are great too. You’ll be Sgt Stryker, Gunny Basilone, and Ira Hayes charging the beach and climbing Surabachi. Have your kids watch Sands of Iwo Jima, Flags of our fathers, and the Pacific so they can appreciate how tough the battle was. It is something I would’ve loved as a young boy. A tribute to the combatants of both sides. Only complaint is the inclusion of two sailors who probably belong to the BMC LCVP that they sell in a different set. Semper Fidelis!

My son loves this brand!
Pros: loads of detail, much thought was put into this product. Educational for a history loving kiddo. Durable, well made.Cons: these will blend into a pattern rug and hurt worse than legos to step on.My 8 year old aspiring military man/history buff loves all of these sets. He politely refers to other brands of Army Men as "cheap". He loves all of the little pieces included with these sets, and will play with them for hours.

Happy Grandson
My Grandson is a WWII buff. Since he was very small he has studied it and has self educated himself about the various battles and the military equipment used. He loves this BMC set as well as others because it is so realistic. BMC toys are his favorites because of the actuacy and quality of detail of their toys.

Nice! Great detail, kid loves it!
More detailed than the usual green army men toys— and these are Marines, of course. It comes apart to reveal tunnels. Great for watching “The Pacific” and playing along :)

Great play set
Great play set for kids to be creative. You need to sticker it but it’s easy. My boys absolutely love it! Nice and big!

A very good investment for my grandson who is interested in history of our military.
I bought this for my 9 year old grandson. He really loves his WWII playsets. I do believe he has all the playsets and is now collecting planes. He plays with them almost every day. They have been very educational too. He gets on the computer and reads about the different battles and is learning the types of tanks and planes used and also the names of the top military leaders and ect. These playsets makes learning fun.
