Interesting Product
This product when taken out of package (which is really hard to get out of) was you know not that hard to set up, but a little more clarification wouldn't hurt. Because I was never really able to set this up. I took out the dock and plugged it in look nice and putting the stiletto 10 on it with remote and hooking up to stereo is great. a small and pretty easy to use product that is really nice to listen to. How ever when it comes to the antenna part, things get frustrating and difficult fast. I unraveled the long cord and tried to figure out where to put it outside and face it. That's where the instructions help, but should show a picture. I had to call up Sirius to tell them to me how to face it. So I to a long thin piece of wood and screwed two screws into the top of the wood and placed the antenna on top so it's high up facing up. This works so much better that on the side of your house. Because I have a deck and placed the wood and bracketed the wood down and than its all set. A little work and then you'll have something that may work. The real problem is having the wire going through your window so you can never securely shut your window. BIG PROBLEM. Well so I fished it through window and plugged it in back of dock. It worked for 10 sec. I was trying to shut window best as possible, but not crushing window but it shut right down on window and surged my whole unit. I didn't know that at the time so what I thought was okay I have a antenna wire cut in two pieces and their is no way you can solder it together. So I just thought that if I get a new antenna it will work. So I bought a satellite antenna wire and set it up. It needs a cable wire which is even stronger so once set up I thought I make it stronger and it will be fine to play. The whole unit was broken and I wasted time and money on the whole thing. Finally everything was returned and started over with something else. This will work fine only if you find a different way of fishing the wire from outside to inside without using the window.

Stiletto Home Kit works for me.
The Home Kit helps me get more use out of the Stiletto and came in handy when a couple of games were not televised. I love the versatility of the Stiletto and the home kit doesn't disappoint. Well, there is one thing....it comes with a handy-dandy remote control but, unless you have eagle eyes, it won't serve you well unless you're pretty close to the unit (if you've memorized your presets and don't need to see the screen, you should be fine, but if you want to see any score highlights, etc, you'll need to scoot closer to the unit). To be honest, we're still in the honeymoon phase with the whole setup so if there are other issues, we have yet to experience them.

Doesn't work
I can't get the signal from Sirius on this, and they do not allow it for wi-fi anymore. I would have returned it if I had kept the package to return it in. BIG DISAPOINTMENT!!!

Using the Stiletto home kit
I thought the capability of the earphone antenna that comes with the Stiletto was really poor, so decided to try the home kit.Plugged it into the docking port and put the antenna in the window facing west. Went over to the intercom/radio some 15 feet away and turned it to the displayed frequency. My favorite Channel 128 (Nascar) came through loud and clear. That means I can pipe the audio through the whole house.During the next few days I noted the radio getting static or occasional dropouts on the signal. The static was from moving the home kit around, but rotating it or moving it a few inches worked fine to clear up the static. The dropouts seemed to be from not getting a good terrestrial or satellite signal, but the signal strength meter in the display helped reposition that for a better operation.Just using the FM transmitter part of the kit worked fine. But not all radio receivers worked as well. The radio built into the intercom (digital display) is excellent. One cassette player/radio picked up the FM signal all around the kitchen while another would pick up only when next to the Stiletto. A Walkman never picked up anything even when next to the Stiletto. If one receiver doesn't work for you try another receiver or hardwire it using a phono jack. I was using a Stiletto 10 and have a Stiletto 100 on order as a gift, so we'll see if it works as well with the home kit.

Sirius deserves the "Worst Customer Service" Ever Award
I bought my husband, who is an electronics engineer, a Sirius Stiletto and home kit for Christmas. After 2.5 hours on his own and 2.5 hour on the phone with support, the items were returned. This was after paying a $15 non-refundable activiation fee to Sirius as well as $457 for a lifetime subscription which we did get refunded promptly.

Siris is THE best sat radio and the home dock is awesome!
The SLHI for the Stiletto is a great accessory. It takes the i-Pod CRUSHING Stiletto and turns it into a great, full-featured, home unit. You can't beat the convenience and the sound quality is excellent. I give my highest recommendation to Sirius. It's absolutely the best sat radio on the market. XM will be dead in less than a year, I predict.Enjoy and happy listening!
