Blackout Budget Roller Blind compatible with VELUX Roof Windows with size codes M04 / 304/1 / MK34, Beige

I bought this blind to replace a Velux one where the cord had caught and blind no longer went up. This blind is a perfect fit but uses 3 screws on the sides and not 4 like the original. I didn’t get any screws with the blind but used the old ones without issue. Two screws hold the main blind part up and then there’s only the two sides to slide in and screw to the wood - which will need new holes as not in same place as velux fitting. This is a little fiddly but easily achieved by even a novice. The blind works great once fitted. The mechanism is different to Velux but works well, it just slides in the runners and not on a string / cord. To return to the open position you have to angle the handle which you use to pull it down, which took me a few seconds to work out. Do not try and push it up like the Velux ones. Takes a little readjustment of your usual closing motion but works well when used to it. Total time to remove old and fit this blind was 10mins max. Very easy and a nice well fitting result. Impressed and a great price. Truly is blackout too. I bought the standard dark grey colour as it was the same as the old one and is very smart. Only small complaint is that the blind has slight lines from folding within the unit but that’s nit picking and the blind is a great replacement. Seller dispatch is quick and shipping tracked.

This is a fantastic blind, I was nervous about this fitting as my velux is a GGL2/GGL-2. I read that this should fit and it did! PERFECTLY!It is very simple to fit. There are plastic fixings/guides which are screwed in first, then the blind placed into these and screwed in, then the runners are alligned and screwed in. The notable difficult parts are if you are using a short or chunky screwdriver, the screws are very close and it's hard to screw in straight. An electric screwdriver with extension would make this job much easier. The screws are also not magnetic so holding the runners in place initially while screwing in can be awkward.Despite these minor things, it looks great and was a well priced upgrade for a ~35 year old window! Thank you for this!

You gotta understand it's third of a price you would otherwise pay... So no, it's not 100% blackout. Maybe 96%, not a problem for us as we just needed something in a room that gets baking hot with constant sun shining inside.I've watched some videos of fitting Velux blinds before buying and not found any that would cover this kind for our window. The instructions could've been more detailed as you'll likely be left with odd bits that you don't know where they go and aren't included in the basic instructions!Luckily, my partner fitted these before, so he knew, but the instructions don't tell you! Nor will you see video explaining it! So now have bag of odd bits just added to the 'no one knows what it's for' draw.

Excellent quality, instructions are poor and confusing

Fits perfectly for our window & it was a very straightforward, fast installation. Took 20mins max to install two. Works like a charm and blocks out all the light. I highly recommend this!

Does the job, keeps light out

The blind I received was broken, it would not reroll once it was pulled down and I have really struggled to find the right information for a return, I am really unhappy with the quality. The fitting instructions are also totally inadequate.
