Butter mochi for the win (recipe in review)
This is the real deal if you want to make any type of mochi (Japanese sweet and chewy rice cake). My vote is that you try the Hawaii spin on it, butter mochi. Here's a recipe:BUTTER MOCHI1 stick or 1/2 C. butter, melted2 1/2 C. sugar1 box mochiko4 eggs2 tsp. baking powder1 tsp. vanilla1 can evaporated milk1 can coconut milk2 T. melted butter, for topPreheat oven to 350º. Mix sugar, butter, mochiko, baking powder, vanilla and eggs. Add milk gradually, stirring until smooth. Add coconut milk and mix. Pour in 9x13” pan. Bake at 350º for 1 hour. Check for doneness. Coat with remaining melted butter. Cool in pan before cutting.Please vote "helpful" for my review. Thanks!

Great stuff for making mochi!
I love making mochi! This arrived fast and fresh, and I used it to make tasty, wonderful butter mochi. (Here's a hint for butter mochi, btw--don't use a recipe that requires coconut--it's not as good with coconut.)

Easy to blend. Great for gluten free treats
I saw a recipe on a TV channel that I wanted to try to make butter Mochi. One of the ingredients was this flower that I couldn't find in stores. I ordered it and made the recipe. This flour was easy to blend and made tasty treats that were gluten friendly. I will be looking for more ways of using this flour for gluten-free options to make

I would recommend splitting the recipe
WARNING: The recipe on the side of the box makes a HUGE batch of mochi. Unless you have a big enough freezer to store 3 cookie sheets, I would recommend splitting the recipe.It was a mess to make but tasted pretty good in the end.

I purchased this to make mochi cakes. The cakes came out delicious so I gave this product this rating. Also product was delivered on time and packaged very nicely.

Mochiko Sweet Rice flour is useful not only in oriental dishes, but also is excellent as a way of a crispy coating on fried fish or chicken. Delicious.

The BEST butter mochi
I used to use this to make butter mochi back in Hawaii and now can't find it in a store in the mainland. Every time I make butter mochi everyone asks where to find this stuff!
