Really good game, my 5 year old daughter loves it, and her 9 year old sister enjoys playing it too. Really sturdy game, good value, and a good option to take on holiday too.

We already had the Disney princess version of this game which is a huge hit in our family (two girls age 6&3), so when I saw this animal version I knew it would be fantastic. I also purchased it on a special Amazon deal so it was a total bargain! We love this especially because our 3yr old can join in the game and can understand what she needs to do. Such a simple classic concept.

This product was bought as a Christmas gift for my friends children. They absolutely love it! They have played it on play dates with other children but also with their parents. It’s easy to play and slightly addictive. It can be played quite quickly and they often play as a family before bed time.

My 5 year old grandson is dinosaur mad!!! It’s a little hard for him to understand the ‘rules’but we have managed to adapt the game and he’s happy to play along

This is a very interesting game. It seems like a very new modern twist based loosely on the very successful game of 4 in a row. Kids love this game. It’s easy to use, easy to learn and easy to play. Great for gifting.

This is a great wee game, it is light and easy to store away. A couple of random non Dino pictures on it but it’s still fun, my 5 year old loves it! Good quality and definitely value for money.

Can Top Trumps expand their market beyond selling packets of cards? Top Trump Match Games may just be the solution. 'Fingerlings Match Board Game' is an iteration of this Match Game and uses the brand that anyone with a 5-10 year old will probably be aware of. I know them best from the little surprise packs you can get that contain one of the creatures that wraps around your finger.'Fingerlings Match Board Game' takes the imagery of the brand and puts it onto a variation on 'Connect 4' but uses cubes to mix up what matches you can find. The players sit opposite one another and take turns putting a cube in trying to get five in a row. This in turn pushes out a cube on the other side and that player has to add this one back in. The fact that you can search for so many different characters and choose to try and make your own matches, or sabotage your opponent means that this is a more challenging game than 'Connect 4' and still great fun. The game is 4+, but is more suited for children slightly older as the game itself is best served by someone who can think tactically about their next few moves.As well as being a well thought out game, it is also built exceptionally. The cubes themselves are sturdy and the stickers well attached. The only real issue with the game is the crowbarred nature of the Top Trumps themselves. The official game suggests that you pick two cards each and keep them turned down. When one of you matches five your opponent turns their cards - if they match the characters you collected, then they win. You have been Top Trumped. This just does not work, younger children will be devastated that their hard won victory has been stolen, whilst the more aware may feel like they had gained a hollow victory. House rules may have to come into play; either no cards, or how about you pick a card each, don't tell your opponent what you are after and then try and connect 5 with this character - tactics will come into play. Another choice would be to see the two cards you have immediately and play a game where you try to match 5 whilst also tricking your opponent to into picking one of your cards - therefore forcing a Top Trump win.As a rule the cards themselves are probably not needed, but the game itself is great fun and built brilliantly. At least with the cards you can play variations of the game, which should add even more to the fun.
