The smell is incredible!So nuanced, so layered. It evolves and develops like the signature cocktail that's the crowning achievement of a grandmaster mixologist, showing you new and wondrous scents throughout the burn, and evoking memories and emotions as powerful as the moment they happened.I honestly had no idea incense could even come close to being this magnificent. It completely reframes my entire perception. And I've burned a _lot_ of incense in my life. From the awful cheap-perfume gunk from bulk retail stores in the plastic bags and paper envelopes, to really quite nice stuff from India.It was all barely breathable compared to this.The smoke is clean and white. It looks, smells, and _feels_ pure and clean in my lungs. It lingers for many hours, even into the next day.The attention to detail in the manufacture, with every stick _exactly_ the same, bundled and wrapped with great skill and care, with not a single stick broken despite being pure, coreless incense, is the sign of a truly world-class manufacturer with genuine passion and love for their product.They wrap each bundle in a note, thanking you for your patronage and telling you a little about them, along with a poem that is an ancient ritual from their past, on very nice paper.In the smaller, jewel-named boxes, they even have a clever little compartment built in with a touch of origami, to hide a thoughtful gift.This is how business is meant to be done... how people with true pride in their craft present their art.I can honestly say I can't picture myself ever buying incense from any other manufacturer ever again in my life.Shoyeido, you are the masters of your craft, and you've earned a loyal customer for life.Thank you for being excellent at your chosen task.

This one is exquisite, woody, smoky and also emitting a lovely note that I can't quite describe since I'm new to quality incense with layered aromas. If you only like sweet scents than maybe this one is not for you since it does not smell sweet but surprisingly I liked it even though I prefer sweet scents. Also it smells like a bonfire but a magical fairytale bonfire, that's it, that's how I'd name it: A fairytale bonfire.Edit: My dad hates it, so I want to add that if you're into fruity/floral/sweet aromas and not flexible when it comes to woody scents, then this one is not for you.

My favorite incense for meditation. Nice and subtle. Lovely.

I got a Shoyeido daily sampler and this one was my favorite. These long sticks seem to have a different scent but it's still pleasant. Spicy with cinnamon but it's a subtle scent and great for a little mood boost around the house.

This burns at a nice rate, You can snap it in half or even thirds if you want a shorter burn and less smell in the air. The smell is strong and lingers.

Shoyeido incense emits a soft and gentle aroma in my home. I've experienced coughing, eye irritation, too strong a scent from other types of incense. When I discovered the Shoyeido products, I was delighted to have the sweet scent of incense without the problems I've stated already. I use incense when I meditate, read, have trouble falling asleep, feel unsettled. Don't understand the science completely but my experience has been positive. What I did with the stronger products would be to burn them outside in my courtyard but now with Shoyeido, it's back in my home again.

I purchased this based on reviews, especially those that seemed to like Autumn Leaves which I also purchased. I'm not an incense connoisseur, but maybe this will help someone like me. I became slightly obsessed with starting to use incense and looked at several different kinds, especially the Japanese incense. When I looked at the ingredients of the two packages, I was kinda worried they would be too similar. Nope. Autumn Leaves is much more of a spicy fragrance, maybe the sandalwood I was going for. Eternal Treasure is way..earthy. Not earthy musky but earthy dirt-earth. That's probably not the best description of what's going on with my untrained olfactory senses, but we don't like it. I paid for it, still trying to use it. It does have let's say, a cleansing kind of aspect and I've been using it together with the other. It was nice with some spring cleaning going on and not so pleasant fragrances. Eternal Treasure, not a pretty scent but I can see the appeal. I like a rich but pretty (not floral!)scent I guess and would not buy again.

so so lovely! i’ve never used incense before but after much contemplation i decided to try it out, and i love it! this scent is absolutely goooorgeous. musky but floral, and a super sense of coziness. i will definitely be ordering this again soon! ♡

Eternal Treasure is a beautiful relaxing scent...It's like walking through the woods on a fresh misty morning..Woody and mossy, then you seem to get a slight floral scent every now and again. You need to try this if you like fresh woody scents.😍It came very well packed and truly worth the money..

I was looking for some 'special' incense for my girlfriend and I wanted to try this oneI think is great, sticks are thinner so that you can buy without overflowing the house with smoke and the scent is alluring, may be me but it reminds me of fireplaces while camping
