Microscope Usage: 1. Insert the battery, turn on the LED power switch; 2. Rotate the focus knob in counterclockwise, elevate lens barrel, adjust the light brightness; 3. Take samples first, place it on the glass slide, can cover with another glass slide as a coverslip. Then place the one with sample on the stage and fix with clip. Move specimens to intermediate aperture, adjust the objective to the uppermost; 4. Turn the objective lens to 100x, 400x, 1200x as your need; 5. Looking at the objective, adjust the height of the objective lens to adjustable height, do not touch coverslip, look at the eyepiece, increase the focal length a little until you can observe the detail. Note: Without anything on the objective tray, don't look down the eyepiece when the LED light is lighted. Awesome Gift Idea
I got this for my nephew who will be 6 very soon. He LOVED it. His exact words were "I don't like it...I love it...thank you so much". It was easy for me to show him how to use and to explain what the knobs do and how the lenses work. I also purchased a bunch of slides separately and he was ecstatic about looking at all the different plants, animals, etc.

Cheap and light
Somewhat flimsy, but I can’t expect too much for the price I paid. My son played with it for 10 minutes and then went back to his Legos.

My son loves this!
My 4 year old loves this microscope. He’s always had a fascination with zooming in to see how plants and insects and stuff appear on a micro level. We saw his interest when we visit aquariums and science museums, now we brought it home to him!
