I bought 4 packs. This is the answer to your prayers.
The media could not be loaded. I’m a mixed chick and I have fine textured hair that ranges from 2a to 3b. The ends of my hair have an ammonium thioglycolate straightener on them but I’ve been growing that out since early 2020. It’s now early 2022.Let me tell you, these big soft foam curlers are PERFECT. I have tried everything and I mean EVERYTHING to get my hair to curl. I wanted something that would be gentle on my hair and non damaging but easy to sleep in. Take the wires out of the foam and they are sooo comfy! So as you can see in the video (which I filmed before I realized I could take the wires out) I use these differently than instructed. I was inspired by this brand called Cozy Curlers but I was not about to pay $35 for 8 curlers when with all my hair, I need about 24 curlers. The conair ones are cheap at $10 for 8 curlers and I bought 4 packs. Yes, 4. I use all but one curler so I can easily put 23 curlers in my hair. The net on my hand is called “highly elastic tubular net bandage” in the size meant for fingers and I purchased it on Amazon. It comes in a roll of 25 yards. You’ll want to cut pieces of the net a bit longer than the length of the rollers.Because my hair is long and thick, it takes literally days to air dry in normal rollers. These conair ones are perfect because they’re long enough for my hair to wrap around the entire length of the curler without the hair being wrapped on top of itself which increases dry time. Also, not using the curlers with the wires decreases drying time. I set my hair when it is wet from the shower and my hair is air dried in less than 24 hours. And it’s even less if I use my bonnet dryer. This is a vast improvement from the 2 hours under the dryer or 3 days of air drying with regular roller sets. Also, the amazing shine you’re seeing on my hair is with ZERO product! Except water, shampoo and conditioner, there was nothing else I applied to my hair. No gel, no hairspray, no creams or leave in no nothing. If you set your hair when it is wet (not damp, wet) the curls will last all week. I wash my hair once a week. When you curl the hair wet, the hair will get “muscle memory” and the curls will easily reform if you put them back into the rollers overnight without re-wetting the hair. And since these are so comfy to sleep in when you take the wires out, I put the rollers back into my hair every night before bed and wake up and then comb out the curls with a wide tooth comb and viola! Perfect hair!!!The only downsides to these curlers are that with the way I do this with the net, the hair does not get the volume at the roots that it does with regular roller sets and the roots don’t get smoothed. You can see in the photos my roots are frizzy. I don’t do anything about this but you can smooth the roots with a flat iron if you want. I would also suggest first putting your hair in a high ponytail on the top of your head and then using the curlers on the hair that comes out of the ponytail so that once it’s dry and you take your hair down, you’ll have major volume. You could also do small individual ponytails for each roller to smooth the roots (just Google “roller set ponytail method” and you’ll see what I mean- Black women have been doing this to get their roots extra smooth with a roller set for ages).Other than that the only other con is that when I have all these in my hair, it’s not as hot or glamorous as a regular roller set- I look like a LaLa Loopsie doll and wouldn’t dare leave the house with them in. In normal rollers I don’t mind leaving the house because normal rollers look glamorous- these rollers just look crazy. But they are soooo comfortable!!Also I probably sound like an infomercial but I was not sent free product, paid or reimbursed or compensated in any way for this review. I just love these rollers and finally found something that works for me after years of searching and I hope I can help someone else out there. :) CONAIR, Never discontinue these please!!Oh and in the photos with the grey sweater, I curled all the rollers going in opposite directions and in the photo with the navy plush robe I put all the rollers in the same direction away from my face all the way around my head. Doing so gives different looks as you can see.

Love these, but wish they also had smaller 1" diameter also
Love these sponge rollers. I wish they had this exact same thing, also in a smaller 1" diameter for shorter hair and tighter curl. And possibly all in a neutral brown color.Descripiton: They are about 1.4" in diameter and about 7" long. They are a light spongy foam that the hair stays on and dries faster than some. Love the foam, in that it is not rubbery like some bendable rollers, so they are more comfortable than those. Has a light wire within, but you don't feel it. If the rollers do not stay put, I put a roller pick through them. The holes may lessen life of rollers, but keeps them in place if you want a tighter feel. When in hurry after washing hair, with my fine hair, I can wrap high pony tail around 1 of these, and then bend in circle, and put very large clip at crown. A 1" diameter would work better for my medium length hair.

Disappointed with no plastic cover on ends of rollers
Slightly Disappointed….the diameter of these rollers is great for my long hair and ease of use is great. However, there is no plastic cap on the ends of the sponge like on the smaller diameter ones and because of that, the wire inside the sponge can slide out the end and become horribly tangled in my hair. Wish they would put a plastic cap on each end to prevent wire from sliding out of sponge roller. Not a very clear picture but this is after it became tangled and I tried putting it back in roller so it would not catch on hair.

Good luck unzipping the case without destroying it
I don't know if the manufacturers got too many complaints about the curlers being purchased with stains on the foam (per the many reviews) or what the deal was, but it seems their response was to make it impossible for any potential buyer to open the case and dirty up the curlers inside. That might not be a bad thing, but they also made it impossible for the buyer to unzip the case without destroying it. They intentionally jammed the zipper with a thin strip of plastic which will not come out, so the only way I could open the pack was to cut it open, thus destroying the cheap plastic case. I was disgusted. In any case, these curlers are too big to roll up too far without slipping downward and coming loose. They will not stay in very well. After having them in overnight, my hair looked as though it had a bit more body, but not even the slightest wave. It was too much effort trying to get them to stay in, for minimal results. I had to discard them. They are worthless junk in my opinion.

A curl’s best friend
These were easy to use and are not terrible to sleep in. I washed my hair at night, put in some volumizing mousse, dried my hair with the hairdryer for less than a minute. I popped them in, it took only a few minutes. I then covered my head in a towel turban and went to sleep. The next morning when I took the rollers out, I had awesome curls and body in my normally straight and flat hair. Each time I do it, the curls look a little different, so I can’t count on consistency but I love that there’s a different look for each day! One day I took it a step further and curled my hair with a large barrel curling iron. Wow! Volume and bounce all day! I bought extra packs because a good thing for me never stays on the market long! Haha! Also, I left one in our Airbnb and I needed all 8! My hair is a neck length bob and is normally without volume. These are definitely a “Curl’s “ best friend!

Stay in place, worked quicker than expected
I almost gave the product a 4 as it didn't do miracles - no product ever does. But I realized it does a good job. One or two or my curlers had the metal showing at the bottom which was worrisome for how well they will last, but still they work fine. AMAZYINGLY I can sleep on them comfortably as opposed to the smaller ones I've used for a couple years and tend to be less comfortable AND fall out frequently. I have found that if I use the jumbo curlers with moose even after a couple hours, I have a style to walk out with. I guess my reason for considering a 4 is that I look like a total freak when they are in. So be it. Good product.
