I’ve ordered and returned so many flame lights that I’ve lost count. Most don’t look like flames at all. These are keepers. I just ordered another set.

The media could not be loaded. This is the brightest out of 4 different flame bulbs I've had. I like how far the light carries. I had one of these in my living room and when I walked down the hall this casted my shadow at the end door. The flame effect looks realistic because it has a random pattern effect. It does not look like the same flame pattern over and over giving it a more random flame dance. Also the animation is smooth. I had one set of flame bulbs that was animated too jerky and digitally it looked like a flame on an old video game. My videos don't show the detailed look of the flame because my camera won't allow it but I captured the brightness I think. I have replaced the dim brand bulbs with these. Great purchase!

I use these smaller flame bulbs in our exterior gate/post lamps. As these light fixtures are a tiny bit smaller than large street style lighting, these smaller bulbs work well.They retain their color quite well and last a long time.We run these in a total of four lamps near the gates of our home, 7 hours a night, every night of the year.They add a great deal of ambiance for this application and people often ask if they're actual gas lamps.As for longevity, I've found these bulbs last approx. one year, after which you'll being to see the flash sequence begin to fade or fail to work, but it's really not too terribly noticeable to someone just walking by. But, if you know the bulbs well, you'll recognize the flame effect is begin change slightly. At this point in time, I simply pull all of the bulbs out and change them all to new bulbs. No fussing about or waiting for them to completely fail. Just swap them out be done with it. Keep extra bulbs in stock and in one year if you see any of them begin to change, like I mentioned above, just change them all.They also give out a fair bit of light, so the ambiance is wonderfully creative and worth every penny.It's kinda funny, as I began using these years ago and now a few more neighbors are beginning to use them.There are many difference varieties of these bulbs, but I'm sticking the Hudson brand as they've never let me down.I use their larger flame bulb for our large, five crown lamp and they look amazing in them.I guess it's worth saying I also use these in our Halloween pumpkins in the Fall, as they're so candle-like and very safe and dependable. These are pumpkins which go out in late September and are on timers until Nov. 1st.Great product, highly recommended.

The media could not be loaded. We really like the look of these flame bulbs when compared with others we have tried. We ordered 10 and 1 of them was bad right out of the box. I did email the company at the email provided in the product box and a week later I haven’t heard anything back. I worry about the longevity of these with a defective one from the start but time will tell.
