Great bags that are both biodegradable and compostable at a reasonable price.
Bags seem sturdy and no breakages so far. They are the usual size, if your dog is very large then you may need something bigger, but then you probably know that already. There are no tie handles but I can work with both types. Usually these type of bags are expensive and whilst there are cheaper bags on the market, these are the best value compost and biodegradable dog poop bags that I’ve found. Our local council are happy for us to put these type of bags in the compost bin. It’s more environmentally friendly than the bags I was using a few years ago, bags that will probably be breaking down sometime in the next millennia.

Good compromise
I bought these bags having first tried a more expensive product (nearly twice the price as these, a third fewer bags). According to the packaging, these are made from corn starch, PBAT and PLA (the other product claimed to be 100% plant based material). PLA is a thermoplastic polyester made from plant material such as corn starch and sugar cane. PBAT, on the other hand, is derived from crude oil. This bothered me from a 'green' perspective, but after some research learned that it's used to aid rapid compostability and fully bio-degrades into water, CO2 and carbon matter rather than micro-plastic particles. Like the more expensive product I tried, these bags are TUV-Austria certified, meaning they meet EN 13432, and the certificate holder registered with TUV is a manufacturer in China. In terms of functional quality, unlike the more expensive variety I tried, the bags themselves are quite hard to rip off the roll and sometimes fiddly to open. Nor are they as 'silky' to the touch as the more expensive product. However, I have found them to be strong and reliable in use - none of the bags I have used have split. On balance, therefore, I think that at the price point they represent value for money and will be happy to purchase them again.

Far, far greener than plastic and just as good.
Great bags. Love that they are a FAR, FAR greener option than plastic. Strong and durable - no different from plastic in that respect. They don't have handles but are easy to twist and knot. One cautionary note - don't leave them in the sun as the starch starts to breakdown and you have difficulty opening them up! I highly recommend - very happy customer.

Very good and eco too
Been using these a few months now. These are far better than the generic black poo bags you buy from the shops - they're normally thin and can take a while to get apart. These bags come in very handy and tightly wound rolls - so each to carry about. They don't really have a smell and above all are very quick to get apart and more importantly they are strong and large and allow you to pick up the dog's 'business' very easily. Was a bit concerned that they didn't have handles so might be hard to do up and carry around afterwards, however they are so large it's very easy to tie a knot in the top.On top of all this you can do your bit for the planet and reduce plastic waste. Top marks! Although don't know they've gone up £4 since we last bought them!

Best poop bags
These are the best poop bags we have ever purchased for our dog, they're environmentally friendly, affordable and durable. We last purchased in March 2020 and are now only buying again in September 2020. We have a Border Collie and she tends to go through a roll with 7-12 days on average.Overall, if these continue to be sold,we will be buying again and again. I couldn't reccomend these enough!.
