Miniature Schnauzer (Smart Owner's Guide) Hardcover – August 24, 2010

The owner's guide was purchased as a gift for a young owner of a rescued miniature Schnauzer. I purchased a guide for myself in 2010 when I rescued my first mini Schnauzer. The book is written in easy to understand language and covers about every question you might have on breed specific subjects as well as general dog questions. If I were planning to adopt a different breed, I would go straight to the Kennel Club Books Smart Owner's Guide for that breed. You need to know a breed BEFORE you adopt.

We just got a miniature schnauzer, and I thought this book was helpful to give a good overview of the breed. I was slightly disappointed in the lack of specific ideas or breed specific information in the book. There was a lot of referral to a website, but it would have been nice to see suggestions for specific dog items I needed to buy, food suggestions, etc. So, I would have liked more specifics rather than just being referred to a website.

This book has a lot of good general knowledge about this breed,nothing exceptional though.The DVDs are not all that great an addition.I did pick up a few bits of information but it was more time consuming then need be.

I did not like this version , it did not give helpful information. I would not recommend it to anyone to buy.

This is pretty good. I really liked theCDs that came with it. I think this will be most helpful learning how to train my new dog.

Learned a lot. Will be getting my puppy in two weeks. Because of this book I will be ready for her.

It is very informative and I learned a lot by reading it! It got me even more excited to bring home our newest family member
