I bought this book for myself & a friend. ...
I bought this book for myself & a friend. I read it before giving it to my friend & many times during my first time through the book I stopped & wondered if I could get my money back. Or at least send back one of the books I bought because it was so completely weird reading. However, I persevered through the book, then read it again, and again. I'm on my 4th time and it's beginning to make a lot of sense now. I suggested to my friend that he give it a few readings, make himself read through it (because it's not easy) and eventually it'll all fall into place.

Your search is over!
If Garbage could have a BM the resulting matter would still be a thousand times more valuable than the dross written on these pages. This book makes me second guess my opinions regarding the merits of burning literature. I purchased this abomination accidentally but read enough to safely say the author is a self serving charlatan possessing an elementary imagination and no tact in feigning credibility. The most vacuumed-brained crystal collectors will likely see this as clumsy ruse.

Are you kidding me?
First third of the book is (presumably) a literal translation of previously unreleased text and the remainder of the book is a glossary. That's it. No interpretation, explanation, guidance, discussion, or any other sort of value added by the author. In my opinion, a book should be either educational or entertaining - this book is neither. I may indeed be just another simpleton that's ignorant in this area, but I was looking forward to learning. Don't waste your time or money.

Stanzas of Dzyan - Seminal Wisdom
This book includes a translation of an additional twelve stanzas of the oldest book of our time, the Book of Dzyan. Unlike some of the previous translations, the stanzas are not accompanied by extensive commentary. Instead, this work can be read with our hearts. The stanzas can be read rather quickly, but contemplation improves understanding. It is best to read it now, as the ideas are timely. The publication of additional stanzas indicates an increasing readiness by humanity for higher wisdom. This volume also includes an excellent glossary of Theosophical/metaphysical concepts that could stand on its own as a short volume. It is well worth reading and studying. If readers are interested in previous translations of the stanzas, here is a history... A first in modern times, Helena P. Blavatsky revealed nineteen stanzas of The Book of Dyzan in two parts entitled, Cosmogenesis and Anthropogenesis. These were published in 1888 in The Secret Doctrine. Then, from 1906-1918, Francia A. LaDue received nine stanzas on the inherent divinity of humanity entitled Theogenesis, published in a volume of the same name. Also, Alice A. Bailey included translations of twelve stanzas in A Treatise on Cosmic Fire published in 1925 that apparently continued the stanzas that Blavatsky translated.

Overcoming Darkness and Greed on our Planet Via the Power of LOVE!
If the writings and ideas of Helena Blavatsky and Helena Roerich are your cup of tea, then you will find The Book of Secret Wisdom the perfect brew! After reading it, I felt like I had just read a poetic version of the entire history of Esotericism. Technically, this is a work of non-fiction. since it is a translation of actual selections from an ancient book of wisdom titled, The Book of Dyzan, which the author unearthed in a monastery in Tibet. It tells of the tremendous battle between the greed of the Dark Forces of the world and the power of Love in combatting such forces. This battle has raged from before the Dark Ages to the present time. An account is also projected for the final future. So, it is both history & prophecy combined. It certainly sounds like the history of our planet thus far, and provides both hope and courage via the power of LOVE. The book seems eminently relevant to today's global politics. At a personal level, my heart was trembling with love for all humanity when I finished the book. It made me feel more optimistic about eventual world peace, and that love and respect among all colors and classes of people will someday be a reality and not just a dream. It is a book to be read with an open heart and mind. I highly recommend it!

Confused
Not an easy read. It’s difficult to follow and it just doesn’t make sense . I thought this book would get right to the point, the title should be “The Book of Confusion”!

The title fits.
It has to be read slowly for a lot of things to really think it. It actually gives to meditation during reading. Therefore it is slow going and can be reread many times. It is not a novel.Do not agree with everything but that's how it should be. We cannot all be carbon copies of each other.

The Future in the Past
“The Book of Secret Wisdom” is a glance at the Earth beyond Time, beyond Space, beyond Distance, conveying in simple phrases the past, present and future history of humanity. To be honest, my mind could not fully understand what was written, but the heart realized the whole Magnificent Mystery of Life on our planet and trembled in time with the words on the page. When you read the stanzas from the Book of Dzyan, an amazing inner process takes place. You seem to experience the evolution of the planet; it goes on inside of you, and you watch as its state changes. Now pain, now joy, now acceleration of motion; then slowly, slowly, something binds you fast, and again a spiralling turn upwards, and then delight and Love! Everything is so Grand and so Simple!“The Book of Secret Wisdom” expands the boundaries of our vision of the surrounding world. It affirms that the basis of all things is Love: without Love there is no Life. It teaches us to hear and understand the Voice of our Heart. We might also call this the doctrine of Blavatsky in simple words. For those who are searching, it is a field for reflection. The book provides an opportunity to properly assess the confrontation between darkness and Light, and it makes us take stock of how we can assist in shoring up the forces of Light. For me, this book is yet another opportunity to touch the secret pages of the history of our planet, from its origins to the future times.

A philosophical approach to spirituality...not truth
This is more of a collection of philosophical ‘ideas/concepts/teachings’ that have been around for ages rather than a genuine teaching of awakening...re-hashed material that isn’t helpful to the genuine seeker. There is no mention of the simple recognition of awareness and being which is the real process of self realisation...instead it’s just another jumble of ascended this that and the other, master of this ray and that ray....all outdated teachings from long ago. This type of teaching fosters spiritual beliefs and spiritual identity/ego instead of guiding the recipient to be relaxed awareness connecting with what you absolutely and honestly know to be true. If you’re genuinely searching for real answers as to whoyou are then these sources are a good place to start: Jon Bernie ‘The unbelievable happiness of what is’, Gangaji, John deReuter, Adyashanti, Krishnamurti...sent my copy back.
