Fixed My Furnace!
My gas furnace made a strange sound and wouldn't run. On a lark, I did some Internet searches being careful to describe exactly what was happening. I learned that the sound I described was the blower motor trying to start but was failing because the start capacitor, which provides a short burst of electricity at startup, was burned out. I was nervous but went to the furnace, found the start capacitor and noted its specifications. This part arrived next day via Prime and was easy to install. Wires connect via blade connectors so tools weren't required. My furnace worked! I wouldn't try a repair more difficult than this but am happy to have a $20 furnace repair this time.

440 works great as 370 replacement
The fan on my A/C condenser simply stopped but the condenser coil was humming. My A/C guy said it sounded like a capacitor issue, so I opened the unit’s panel and saw one of two capacitors were slightly bubbled out on top. It was a 370 V, but reading showed me 440 V is a better and fully compatible option, as long as I kept the microfarads the exact same (higher voltage capacitors can handle more motor feedback and appear to be better for whatever else is fed to it). I ordered it and it came in the next day.I put on waterproof rubber gloves and did the safe things to short the connector, all after flipping off the circuit breaker. Then replaced the leads and put electrical tape back around the connections, then put the panels back in place and turned on the breaker, and it worked as soon as I turned on the A/C inside the house, again. For $10, it was a great learning experience, and we were only without the A/C about a day and a half. This capacitor even kept the same +/- 5% tolerance our prior one did.I would definitely get this again.

Worked as they should on our RV rooftop heatpumps.
Match up the numbers on your existing AC unit and the capacitor numbers. Easy to remove the old and install the new. They have functioned perfectly.

I needed this to repaid an A/C blower motor.
I needed to repair an old A/C unit for a relative. The cap in it had failed and motor just sat still and hummed. I bought this and put it in and it works great. So why 4 stars instead of 5? I am just not certain of the longevity for it. I would recommend but, but I will update in 10-15 years if it is still running... :)

Great replacement part. !!! PSA about power box next to AC unit !!!
This replacement part was perfect. I did a lot of research about the specs that my model required, and everything matched exactly as expected. I also try to be a DIY'er at home as much as possible as a responsible homeowner, so I learned from multiple online guides about how to perform the process of replacing this part. My A/C works again! But here's the caveat, and I hope this helps you: While performing the replacement I encountered something unexpected. My power utility company installs power regulation circuits to cut electricity costs when people are typically away from the house during the week during high power consumption periods. This "box" REPLACES the typical outdoor power breaker that sits next to the AC unit. While most online guides tell users to cut off the power here and inside, none mention these utility company power-saver boxes. The front warning text mentioned something about protecting me from injury, but as an American DIY'er, we all know how that works. ...nothing about fines or civil/criminal penalties, so I figured I was good to go. So being a curious DIY'er I broke the wire seal, and popped it open! (after securing all, and I mean "ALL" other power sources to the AC circuit) What I found was a circuit board; nothing about the circuit breaker from all the guides I read. This is definitely a local thing to my metro area, by the way, so I wouldn't necessarily expect you to encounter this box. But just in case you do...Suffice to say, after viewing the circuit board I promptly closed it and went about my business. Even went so far as to scrawl a tiny, little apology in permanent marker on the house paint right next to the box for breaking their little "wire seal". Ha! I'm sure the next service tech will get a kick out of that--right before they still charge me for... whatever this is going to cost for opening the box. Kick the can down the road, as usual. I may be overly curious but I'm still honest and don't want to try to hide this action.Anyways, the point is, if you see one of these little locked boxes, DO NOT OPEN IT; the power breaker is not in there. Just secure power at the circuit breaker inside the house, and TEST, TEST, TEST with a multimeter to make sure there are no energized circuits.Genuinely hope this helps you save money and perform the replacement safely. Good luck!!

Works Perfectly!!
These capacitor is always a must change out parts, its like changing a tires on a car. Some brands goes out fast and some last abit longer. We will see about this one. Always buy a spare to have in hand. I bought this brand and installed it and works right away. I reorder the same one just to have spare. Local store charges about $25-40 for these and they dont open on weekends. Its good the make sure you have a spare on deck! For the install, just take a photo of the color wires and location for the Hemp, C, fan, then go back follow your photos- easy. Remember to power off your ac unit or turn your breaker off.
