Do i have to do any additional drilling for an epiphone sg? or it is just a remove and replace job ?

Remove & replace.. these are the most secure straplocks I have ever used.. I've used them on an EB3 bass, which is an SG body.. no problem

They do what they're supposed to do. You may have to enlarge the holes on your strap to get the straplocks on, which means your strap will only be usable with the straplocks; that's the only caveat. Worth buying - yes.

What is the diameter of the part that goes on the strap. My strap is 1" wide - will this overlap the edges?

It is exactly 1 inch. It will lot overlap but might be right at the edge. I have these on 5 straps the the button doesn't over hang any of them.
