Consider the Font Size
These two texts are so important for all to read! I've uploaded pics of the type face for your consideration. It is fantastically small but I have no trouble reading it. The Fountainhead is 694 pages and Atlas Shrugged 1069.

Actually that one is still my favorite. Be patient with the rants
These two books will change your life! You will never see the world the same again! Ayn Rand was a genius way ahead of her time. Start with Fountainhead. Actually that one is still my favorite. Be patient with the rants, there are only a couple of them... in fact if you read half of the radio rant in Atlas Shrugged, and skip the second half, you'll still get the gist of it. These should be required reading for every human being. If people took more responsibility in their lives rather than playing the victim and waiting for handouts, the world would be a better place.

Two of the greatest books of the 20th Century.
These books should be read by every thinking individual. The Fountainhead shows how an efficatious, independent thinker can triumph over adversity. Atlas Shrugged is a fascinating mystery and a passionate love story -- and its heroes illustrate and explain a world-changing philosophy.Ayn Rand's philosophy challenges the moral and political thinking of the past two thousand years -- and does so very convincingly. Many people look out at today's world and see that there's something very badly wrong with how people are thinking and acting. Rand shows readers exactly what it is, and gives them the courage to fight for a better world.

I love the books but the writing was so small it ...
I love the books but the writing was so small it was difficult to read it. I had donate these and repurchase the books with larger print. I don't wear glasses but this print was so so so so small.

The Woman of One Idea
If Ayn Rand were not so influential, there’d be no need to read Atlas Shrugged. The characters are artificial, the dialogue is stilted and the plot has the believability of a fairy tale. But Rand did grasp one truth which tended to be neglected in the twentieth century. That is, when a person makes something, when they bring something of worth to the world, they have a right to its value.Unfortunately, in Rand’s hand, this idea metastasizes into a misguided philosophy that has done a lot of harm. Does evolution lead us to feel particular affection for our relatives? Not according to Rand. Love is simply the result of your worth.Nor is any acknowledgment made of the many factors that enable the makers to create something of value. A stable society, a virtuous and well-educated citizenry, the privilege of being born into a loving family…all value is accorded to the individual. The press? Politicians? All looters who steal from the only men who bring something worthwhile from their labors. It’s not hard to pick apart Rand’s system. But why has she had such appeal? She provides a bible for those who think that their success is the result of good choices, their superior rationality and hard work. Developing a more complete vision of what makes for success simply didn’t seem to interest Rand.A truly execrable book. Read it only to understand how some fellow Westerners have been duped.

The book size was comfortable in my palm through the long hours of reading
Who is John Galt? Who idealizes, manifests human superiority in an iconic figure? What are the boundaries of human ventures? Why do we wake up and go out into the large world around us? What and where are purpose, success, and productivity? Ayn Rand hardly needs my introductory lauding of her defining works but here goes nothing.Rated second most influential book only to the bible, considered the narrated codex of principals for the eccentric order of the Objectivists, the intellectual work which challenged commitment, passion, and ability, taking over a decade to formulate into layman's terms with ink on paper; Ayn Rand masters the art of conveying hours of propaganda in an exciting and dramatic novel. Both "Atlas Shrugged" and "The Fountainhead" consolidate goose bump invoking ideals of the potential Homo sapien. She sets a bar of striving forward with ardent commitment in any system and in any field under any circumstances. Her system of values exist void of any relation to economy or capitol although that is the sphere she focuses on. These are not mere novels, they are testimony to an idealized trajectory of passion, production, and purpose. The book size was comfortable in my palm through the long hours of reading, and the surrounding box kept everything compact. As with everything, over time the cardboard will lose its strength but even semi diligent care will see this set lasting a long time.

The print is too small
The books are great. The 3 stars are for this format. Please note that I (and I think many people) would gladly pay more for a printing that can be read comfortably.

Whats to say
As the country seems hell bent on rushing the nation down the toilet Rand is looking more and more like a prophet. Damn shame more hadn't listened.

Amazon keeps trying to fool its customers
First of all, this is not a Paperback as the description says, it's a cheap lowest grade mass market paperback. This is my third return in last 2 months because Amazon is pro at giving false website descriptions to fool Indian customers. Wrong editions after wrong editions are delivered constantly. I'm sick of it.
