I bought some of these to stop my naughty rag doll cat Chloe escaping the garden as she get lost.However within about 10 minutes of installing on the fence next to her favourite escape points she had worked out how to just weave through them.Cats 1, hoomans 0 !!Ok so they aren’t really intended for cats but others had advised that they work. And when I position near the top of the fence rather than on top they had a better effect. Still more of a deterrent than a hard stop though. Think our cat is now too lazy to try.I have noticed however that birds of all sizes go nowhere near them, so they do a great job!5 stars for a job well done, 2 stars for me being outsmarted by my own cat!

Premettendo che ho voluto aspettare (almeno un mese) prima di dire la mia, ho acquistato questi dissuasori per un grave problema dato da piccioni. Purtroppo il mio balcone è comunicante con quello del vicino di casa, separato solo da un pannello, ed essendo il suo completamente colonizzato da più e più volatili, inevitabilmente, la loro passeggiata proseguiva nel mio "territorio", con conseguenti piume, deiezioni (molte) e addirittura gusci d'uovo.Costano di più rispetto ai classici dissuasori in metallo, ma hanno l'enorme comodità di essere modulabili e facilmente separabili nella lunghezza desiderata. Basta fare forza con le mani e spezzare le varie "tesserine".Sono riuscita tranquillamente a coprire tutto il perimetro del mio balcone, e col pezzo avanzato, dividendolo in dieci parti, ho potuto metterli anche nei buchi "ornamentali" che sono presenti nella sua struttura. Dopo i primi tentativi di avvicinamento camminando, provenendo dal balcone del vicino, di atterraggio (ovviamente non riuscito) dagli alberi di fonte, e di appollaiamento (fallito anch'esso) nei buchi, i piccioni hanno smesso di provarci nel giro di qualche giorno. Ora li sento tubare comunque dal vicino, ma dalla mia parte sono completamente spariti. Inoltre sono anche più carini da vedere, e non si corre il rischio di farsi male accidentalmente in quanto non appuntiti e/o taglienti.Per me è stata la soluzione definitiva!EDIT:DOPO UN ANNETTO SI SONO ABITUATI, E L'UNICO DISSUASORE CHE FUNZIONA SONO IO CHE PUNTUALMENTE BUTTO I TENTATIVI DI NIDO, E, QUANDO LI VEDO DI PERSONA, LI CACCIO VIA.

These are the best . I have my own aerial company and use these all the time . They stop the bird landing on the aerials and fouling on patios etc.

I have mine on the garden wall , spikes a bit delicate if touched with shrubs through strong winds , good coverage.

used these to try and keep the cats in the garden but they get right through them. Best used for the birds.
