Wish I had bought this years ago, would have saved some of my metal pool chairs. Without this my Polaris would spray salt water everywhere resulting in rust. This keep it below the water and never sprays out.You will need to replace the foam on the end a lot more often as it rubs the floor of the pool most of the time. Foam last about 3 weeks

Installation was a snap-literally, took less than a minute. I would have bought this years ago if I knew it existed. For years we have been putting up with annoying water shooting out of the pool everyday spraying us, my house windows, even shooting over our fence into our neighbor's yard. We didn't know how to stop it.I had another pool cleaner picked out to purchase because I couldn't stand it anymore when I came across this simple attachment. It has corrected all our issues. It cleans the bottom of our pool better and actually climbs the sides the way it is suppose to. We have had it two months now and NOT ONCE has it sprayed outside the pool. And the tail scrubber is still in tact! That's a first. Usually I replace the scrubber every couple of weeks. Well, I'm extremely glad I didn't spend the $30 for the name brand attachment, because this $12.49 version works amazingly!

I think our tail end may be really worn down because this was just ridiculously loose and was no where near secure. Seemed to be good quality, though.

The media could not be loaded. Your windows or you getting sprayed by the pool cleaner is a thing of the past. This gadget is a game changer. The water jet is still there but far less water pressure as it diffuses through the tail first. My video shows more water than normal because I'm holding it. UPDATE: The sponge does fall off after some time. Secure it with a small black zip tie. Skewer the sponge with the zip tie so it passes >through< the device. This gives the sponge a mechanical lock instead of a friction lock.

This is the first one I have found that actually ‘clicks’ on the end of the sweep tail! So far staying on well and it does provide better tail movement. Hoping it doesn’t wear down fast, but it is the first one I haven’t had to use zip ties right off to keep from falling off. Seems better made!Note: The foam ends have to be replaced as they do wear down, which is expected so buy the foam ends that are denser. As of May 2025 the plastic is lasting well, hasn’t fallen off, and I change the foam BEFORE it wears down to keep the plastic part from rubbing on the pool. Still Great!

We got tired of the Polaris shooting water up and hitting our windows and storm door. The pool maintenance guy recommended this. It worked great! The Polaris tail stopped shooting water several feet out of the pool. The furthest the water would shoot was about a foot up on the decking. Fantastic! But after about 2 weeks, the foam just disintegrated and now the water is shooting several feet again. I wish they would make them with a higher quality foam - or charge less so we could afford to replace them often.

It attaches by snap onto the existing hose sweep. However it is wobbly so I put a zip tie around the clamp to insure it would not fall off. It is still able to rotate. I have noticed that it makes the sponge tail wear faster.

You will be disappointed, the sponge lasted 5 days, and the fitting one week where it could no longer grab the hose and stay attached. OEM lasted 2 years in comparison!
