This creates a very nice matte finish. It was very easy to use, but it has a ver strong odor. I had to open doors and windows while applying.

smells funny but very nice texture. test it on a surface first because it may take paint off some finishes. It is a beautiful finish over stained wood. Haven't tried it over chaulk finish yet, and it will dull a metalic finish. This is easier to use than a clear top coat and so far it's beautiful! I can't wait to try a different color.'

Don't follow the instructions on application or you'll have more work on your hands. After it dried I ended up with way too much dried wax on my piece. Luckily a light sanding with 320 grit sandpaper removed the excess so I could buff the surface.

Delivery was fast . Good quality wax will buy again.

This is my first time using this brand of wax and I feel like application was easy enough but the texture was a bit off. I was expecting it to be a little bit thicker, and not so gritty, but it did spread easily.After drying I went to buffing on the dining room set that I had just chalk painted and waxed but there didn't seem like there was much wax left to buff.I did however dull the bright white paint I was using which I was very happy about since it was so stark to begin with.

This was very easy to use and buffed to a nice finish. I have used it on 15 year old "unfinished" but color washed frames and it gave them a silky but hard finish that was much better than the original bare wood. I also used it to seal a chalk painted metal birdcage. I did have some of the paint rub off the metal if I waxed it and then accidentally ran the brush over a wet area of wax. Once I figured out not to do that, it was fine. I let it sit for 24 hours after waxing and then buffed the metal, the chalk paint finish is hard and I could not flake off the paint with my finger like I could before the wax. Can't wait to chalk paint and wax something else now! My husband is going to come home to everything in my house chalk painted ;)

The clear wax goes a long way in coating the craft / painted product.

Either I got a defective container of wax from a bad batch or....I keep looking at the container to be sure it has clear wax or if it is The Sheepskin colour of this brand's chalk paint. I have tried to use this twice now both times failed. First time, on a rocking chair I painted two coats of gorgeous Parisian Grey, only for me to apply the clear wax with brush and for my chair to now look all cream/off white, it took the colour of the 'unclear' wax', I thought I was heavy handed in the application. Second time, I tried it on a spindle bed I had brushed on two coats of gorgeous Cascade., this time being careful to apply very thinly with a brush, it just wasn't working, whitening my bluish Cascade. I just don't get it!UPDATE: Apparently the clear wax i bought on here was not the content in the bottle! It was definitely chalk paint and not clear wax. I bought another bottle elsewhere on Amazon.com and..YEP...THE REAL CLEAR WAX! It is indeed clear unlike...a breeze to work with, just brush on and buff to shine! Easy peasy, I like! Especially since waxing seems to be a challenge for noobs like me, this clear wax is the ish!

Works well. I used this product to seal chalk paint on a wood side table I made for my husbands bedside. Also on a shelf and about to do my laundry room cupboards. Very happy as the price of this was a lot better than the rest of the products. I will purchase again.
