Very sturdy and adjustable, light weight
My physical therapist told me to buy walking poles because "you can't risk falling down again." I looked for ones a friend suggested made locally in our area but the business collapsed during Covid. So, took a chance on these and they work well. My husband got a pair too. We walk around the neighborhood every day with them and they are great because they work out your arm and back muscles besides giving you added assurance for balance. If you have xc skied in the past, it is a similiar motion.

Flexible, great for walking properly, light-weight
I purchased the Urban Poling, Series 300, walking sticks because my wife said I was slouching too much. Not only that, I almost always experienced lower-back pain after a mile or so of casual walking. The poles help me maintain a proper, upright posture, which virtually eliminated the back pain. For a little more than $120, they are a well-worth while investments. Recommended!!!

Great poles
The poles are very good at this point! The rubber booties at the end of the poles are heavy duty and will last several months. Adjusting the poles is easy. My first set of poles from a different company lasted 19 years. Time will tell how these endure!

Good, but could be better
I use the poles for light Nordic workout several times a week. Great for that, though as others have noted one must work to learn how to use them -- it's not intuitive. But the hard plastic handles are awful. They scuff the underside of my thumb/hand joint, and it's very uncomfortable. They don't feel good in the hand either. Why a pole like this doesn't have a soft handle, either plastic or cork, is a good question. That would greatly improve them.

Great Motivator to Walking
I saw a pair of these at my physical therapists's office. After trying them out, I decided to buy my own pair. I have balance issues so I don't walk as often as I should. These poles are a god-send! I feel stable and can walk farther than ever without having to stop (due to Afib). I am also using my arms more so that helps with cardio. This is one of the best things I have done for myself to improve my health!

They work
I hate that I need them, but they add stability to my excursions. Stairs are much better with these poles.

Very hard to adjust the height.
I barely had the opportunity to use these this past Monday. I was unable to adjust them to be comfortable for my height. I came across 2 very kind gentlemen on my hike and asked them for help. They both tried together and struggled to get the height adjusted. My window to return them has passed and they weren’t cheap. Not happy with this purchase at all.
