Is this more poweful than the 406? My 406 is struggling with my 300l tank!

I have a 350l tank and noticed my 406 was struggling, I was doing 10-15% water changes weekly and a full filter maintenance and 50-60% water changes every 6-8 weeks. I did a bit of online research and most utube and online advice believe that the actual fluval flow rate is tested media free and without any bio load. So actual capacity you should half what the manufacturer stated. On that basis I ordered a second filter ( I have a community tank big stock of fish) the water is much better with two filters.

What size are the brackets ?

1L baskets. Brackets are enough to install on anything.

Is this fine with small fish, fry and shrimp? Thank you

The filter itself wouldn't effect them but if you didn't change the inlet cover for something with a finer grill or a large sponge you would risk them getting sucked into the pumps mechanism.
