Very good for the price, quality might vary between guitars, very minor cosmetic shipping damage
Almost Everything else about it was great, the setup feels good, it sounds great. The neck feels very "fast". I haven't touched my old bass since getting this new one, because this new one is so much more fun to play. If you are are a first time bass player or, like me, put your original bass away for 20 years, only to find that it was in pretty sorry shape when you pulled it out of storage. This is a good choice.Potential quality control issues. I actually ended up with two of these. (I'm sending one of them back). The first one came with a small chip in the finish on the back, looks like very minor shipping damage (I was almost going to just ignore it).I requested a replacement, and a replacement arrived in 3 days with instructions to send the chipped one back. Sadly on the replacement the frets edges are a bit sharp and could probably used to be filled down a bit, the replacement also has a slight crack in the finish near the volume knob (though very hard to see). So I'm actually sending the replacement back, since the damage on the first guitar is minor and purely cosmetic and not really visible anyway when you are playing.

Try an Ibanez or something used
This poor bass had a defective clear coat, the volume knob had no resistance and could pretty much move at will, the pickups had some pretty bad humming and it had bad fret buzz. Jackson needs to step up their game. I have 2 other Jacksons and had a Japanese DKMG and this bass is a disgrace to Jackson. I know it was only $200 but come on guys.
