Serves a great need
Very durable. I trust the monitors and camera system hanging from it. Seemed easy to assemble. Have nothing to pass along other than I’m happy with the outcome this far

Weak tubes. Sags 1" with light camera and 9' spread
Love everything about this rig except the strength of the tubes. They're lightweight aluminum so they sag easily. I'm using a Sony 6600 with the 50mm lens plus a clamp for an iPhone - all lightweight stuff - and the rig sags. So I need to push the rig all the way against the ceiling to keep the camera from moving...vibrating and wiggling. If I don't recheck the rig every time, and press it against the ceiling, the camera vibrates as I move while shooting. The stands are Neewer c-stands, so they're sturdy. If I tried to rig my Canon 5D Mark IV with the 24-70 lens (typical Tasty top-down camera setup) it would sag much more.

MVP Award
Literally the most versatile, and possibly the most valuable tool you could have, in any A/V Studio's arsenal. Infinite uses, and cuts down on the number of stands and floor space needed for lighting, mics, and cameras. Was a little tricky getting into position and adjusting after everything was popped together. Make sure you put the screws/bolts into the joining sections before moving around. Got a big blood blister on my finger, getting it pinched between two sections that weren't secure yet.I think you need C stands for it. Because it slides onto my regular heavy duty light stands, but won't be secured by the set screws, as the tips don't reach that high up inside the mounting brackets. Works and holds just fine, and would have to get a pretty serious bump that made it jump a couple/few inches to come off. I will probably raise it all the way to the ceiling, so that won't be able to happen. Would like to see that set screw made lower to accommodate the average light stand. Would also like to seen it come with its own matching standsComes with a decent carrying case, and the build quality is all up to, or over par. There is some flex/droop to it with weight, and I saw some reviews complaining about that. But it's mostly only if you're using it fully extended, and putting a lot of weight on it. At 6 or 8 ft, it's not really an issue. I think that's just a side effect of its being so lightweight and portable. There ARE other options out there, that are more affordable, such as wall or ceiling mounts and swinging arms, but not quite so versatile, maneuverable and portable. And not as many uses. They also can't double as a backdrop stand as this one can.So much thanks for allowing me to test and review this badass rig! I've been drooling over it for a few years, and always having to improvise and rig something up to mimic it. Love this thing, and it will always have a place in my studio!

Flexible width range…game changing setup
I like not having a bunch of stands to trip over, especially in tight working spaces. This system can go on top of 2 c stands or, as I am doing, on studs attached to magic clamps, attached to extension poles that are friction fit between the ground and ceiling. The only reason I prefer the latter is because the poles take up even less space than the c stands so I have even less clutter at the floor level. The other thing I like about this top rail system is that it serves as a chase for wires. I just secure the wires to the poles and they are completely out of the way.The rods have a little flex, but they aren’t going anywhere if you stay within the reasonable weight range.Really, this is a game changer for me. Has completely freed up a cluttered floor where now it’s pleasant to work. Also, for something that becomes quite large, it’s easy enough to take down and transport. All around great product, essential for me.

Awesome Rack! Flexible Configuration! Lightweight Yet Sturdy!
This rack is very easy to assemble, coming with the wrench that you need to assemble it. The only thing you will need are the stands to hold it up.The supports for the equipment are able to be placed anywhere on the rail. The supports offer a screw hole in the center so that the weight is balanced between the front and the back: Everything is mounted along the center to be in line with the supports on the sides which are also in the center. The ball head that comes with the unit is pretty decent to. It does clamp securely and offers great range of motion. The supports clip on to the aluminum pipes and are quite secure there - they do not slide well at all, so if you want to move the equipment, you need to unclip it and them re-clip it in the now location. The brackets are made well and seem resilient. The price seems appropriate for the quality of it. Although three hundred dollars may be steep for many, but for really high quality equipment, it can even be considerably more expensive. This is a great price point for a great unit!

Revolutionary Camera Light Platform Truss From Glide Gear
I recently got the Glide Gear OH 150 Overhead Camera Light Truss Platform Rig Stand 4-12ft Wide Modular System and I'm so glad I did. It has completely changed the way I produce videos. The modular system allows for easy setup and an adjustable width of up to 12 feet. It's really sturdy and can hold heavy equipment without any issues. The best part is that with its adjustable height, you can customize it to fit your needs exactly.
