Q: I love these, but I'm confused about how they fit. Is there a bolt and butterfly screw that secures the knob in place?

There is a regular thick round bolt at the back and the knobs fit securely. FYI - the screw that is attached to the knob is long and it does stick out a bit in the drawer, but I don't mind it at all.

Q: What is the diameter and the threading on the screw? I am looking to use a T-nut and want to get the right size.

i would wait to get and then take it to a hardware store

they are each an individual knob ... i loved them i purchased them 3 years ago and still in great condition you might just need to cut the screw depending on the thickness of the door you putting them on
