Was worried it was going to be a scam but was worth it. They come tiny caterpillars but it's a first for me to see them grow and change all 5 became butterflies. Recommend if you have small children even though it was why aren't they butterflies yet 24/7 at the end the excitement was worth it.

This was an Easter gift for my preschool kids and it was so fun. All 5 caterpillars turned into butterflies and my kids (2 and 4) loved watching all the steps and ultimately letting the pretty butterflies go. The kit has everything you need which is convenient. My only issue was that the kit arrived much earlier than planned so I had to keep the caterpillars hidden for a few days and they started to turn into cocoons the day I gave it to them. We plan to buy another caterpillar kit again next spring.

Love it and can’t wait to use it in my classroom.. but one cup only had 3 out of 5 caterpillars :/ for the price that kinda sucks

Amazing experience for the grandkids from the beginning until the butterflies hatch from cocoons. Everything was point on and all my cocoons hatched with BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLIES. I had 6 completed transformations. I was able to allow the grandkids to keep a day to day notes and pictures with videosThis was so well worth the price. I highly recommend this project for elementary schoolers. I’m just a grandma not a teacher but this was fun for my grandkids.

The butterfly kit was a great way to educate my child on the life cycle! Easy directions to follow and super fun to watch the caterpillars turn into butterflies.

I purchased this butterfly kit for my granddaughter for her birthday. It was a huge hit! She absolutely loved it. Everyday she would run to check on the progress of the butterflies. After all the butterflies came out of their cocoons we set them free in the back yard. It has been a couple of weeks and they are still flying around the back yard. I highly recommend this kit. It was very educational.

Last time I got them I got one cup of caterpillars and they all survived and turned into butterflies. This time I got two cups which are supposed to be 5 caterpillars each. Unfortunately the looked frail and one cup has 3 and the other 4 with one being the smallest thing I've ever seen and will probably not make it. The kids are still excited to look for butterflies tho so that's why I gave 3 stars. I suppose we will see how far they grow. I included a picture of the one container with just 3 in one the other has 4 in it. Still a cool project.

Originally I gave it low stars because it never shipped, but they did send a replacement which arrived. All the caterpillars came alive and all of them became butterflies. Two of them got stuck in their chrysalis and weren’t strong enough to get all the way out unfortunately, but that’s nature. My son is 3yrs old and loved every second of this!! He got to release 8 butterflies the other day. Would definitely recommend if your kid loves butterflies and/or bugs! Also, I saw some comments mentioning their chrysalis fell which is why they rated it lower. We had 4 that fell, but they have directions on what to do with those chrysalis as it happens in nature as well. All 4 of those butterflies were very strong and got released!
