Good Thing, Small Package
This is a really terrific figure. I am still a novice at this kind of thing and may never have the kind of collection I can see populating some of these reviews; but I am completely satisfied with this little guy. There is a ton of detail in the sculpting and mine had careful painting, so this is a very movie-correct Gamera! Great looking and ready to inspire your imagination. I am unlikely to use the included "extras" but not for quality - I am simply satisfied with how he looks and his available articulation out of the box. Do heed the warnings for the size of the figure. I have large hands and this is a small figure, much smaller than say the NECA Godzilla that arrived the same day. Not at all a quality issue! Just a visual or perhaps expectations one. This is plenty of Rocket Turtle for the money and well worth your time.

Fantastic!
The action figure is very articulated and detailed. I bought because I'm a Gamera fan, but I have to say ... the toy is too small, expected a slightly larger size nevertheless recommend.

It's small. Possibly smaller than you think.
I didn't buy this through amazon, but rather an online auction site where I had some credit. Though you get nailed on shipping, amazon sellers seem to offer the most competitive prices. However, from what I've read, it seems the price on this particular version has gone up since it's original debut. If you're considering spending $70 plus or minus a few bucks on an action figure - it's safe to assume you're a serious collector. This is my first Revoltech figure, so I can't compare it to other offerings by the manufacturer. However, I do own a MonsterArts Godzilla, which actually cost a bit less.If you're thinking this Gamera will make a fine companion to the MonsterArts Godzilla - you're mistaken. Sure, it's smaller, you might think...but it's significantly smaller. About half the size. I'm not talking inch to inch -- consider how Godzilla is sort of hunched forward -- scale-wise this is probably half the size. BUT I KNEW THIS, I read all the complaints about the size, I watched videos on YouTube. Still, opening the box for the first time I was like whoa, that is small. Almost Gashapon small (I say that with a bit of sarcasm).Which is not to say this is cheap, or poorly made, or whatever. This is a great looking figure.I will say, however -- and again, I don't know if this is par for the course with Revoltech -- the figure itself is a hard plastic, but the ball-joints seem almost rubbery. When you move the arms and legs there's a bit of play that I find disconcerting. It could be one of those good things in the construction of a figure -- meaning that a more pliant material is used in a high-stress area. Or, it could be one of those bad things, where you think you've got some wiggle-room and then SNAP you better find the Krazy-Glue.So, in short, this is a cool figure. It's well-made but in my opinion it could be better made. If I'd bought this from amazon I'd be tempted to send it back & wait and see if MonsterArts does a Gamera...not just because of the size, but because I feel I have to be a bit more gentle with this figure than others. Also, in my opinion the price on this figure is pretty steep for what it is. I think $50 would be the max reasonable price. Collectors are a different breed, though, and that's the only way to justify spending more.

Awesome Details
I would recommend this to any Gamera fans, it is extremely detailed the only problem that I have is that it's a little small
