Old Vienna of St. Louis Snacks (Red Hot Riplets Hot Barbecue, 1 oz 10 Pack)

I grew up in St. Louis, and I have fond memories of snacking on these chips starting in HS (though, my blood pressure may have something to say about it).I’ve bought these chips 3 separate times on Amazon, knowing that these 1 oz bags were ridiculously overpriced. I decided to see if I could buy them directly from Old Vienna and, lo and behold, you can. A 56-bag case can be purchased for about $21 on Old Vienna’s website, or about $0.38 per 1 oz bag. They charge heavily to ship it to you via UPS, though. Tack on another $20 or so, and you’re looking at about $41 per case of 56, or about $0.75 per 1 oz bag. Compare that to the nearly $2 per bag through this seller, and the insane is clear.I don’t know if you really need 56 bags of these chips all at once, so if you need to moderate yourself and buy a smaller quantity then buying through Amazon is probably your best bet even at the inflated cost. However, from a pure cost per unit perspective this makes no sense whatsoever and you’re better off buying them directly from Old Vienna especially if you have multiple people in your house that you can share these with. They’re still delicious and worth sharing with whoever you can.

Small bag but very tasty

My husband is a native St. Louis-ian and we relocated to the north. He has been dying for a taste of home, so I bought these for him as a Christmas gift. He legiterally cried when he opened them and made them last almost a full month. I only wish they weren't so expensive, or I had another way to get some from "The Lou" as I think they're his favorite flavor in life and I love making him happy.

As someone from St. Louis, and someone who has purchased these ridiculously overpriced chips. I'm telling you to find someone from st. Louis and have them ship them to you. My best friend bought me 12 bags of the large bags from Aldi's that were literally $2.99. I love red hop riplets, but I will not waste my money buying from these people again. Love the chips though. Ridiculously priced.

Honey these were and still is my favorite chips and when I go back home to visit I try to make room in my suit case to bring big bags home okayyy the website it’s out of stock so being able to buy some from here is a blessing the price worth it when you really want it
