Is this suitable for replacing the main wire from back of an electric cooker?

Depends what current the cooker draws. Sometimes.it is a very high current so needs a suitably insulated cable. Also lots of ovens should not be put on plugs, but hard wired in. Might want to check your manual...

I brought a cooker which didn’t come with a power cable in brought this one and I can say it was so easy to use and I am so happy I can use my cooker.. only done it today so can’t say as to how long it will be good for

Plug over heats

Reading the reviews this looked like a good buy, but it just heats the plug too much. Doesn’t feel safe. Certainly no good for a high amp product. It should be able to handle the power with 1.5mm cable but for me just unusable.
