The PERFECT Tripod For Most People!
If you need a tripod for your DSLR, video, or point and shoot camera, this one may be hard to beat. I originally bought it for hiking with my wife; I needed something that was compact, lightweight, and durable that wouldn't empty my wallet. The VANGUARD Espod is exactly what I wanted!PROS:- Lightweight & compact:- Well built & durable: After 1 year of frequent use, it still looks and feels great - it may last me 10+ years!- 2 easy to see levels: One level is for tripod's legs & the other is for the camera.- Good height adjustments: The tripod's height is 23" - 49" with the legs separated & without camera attached. I'm 5' 11" and it's been fine for me.- Easy to use: All of the knobs & handles stay tight, keeping your camera safe and stable, and are easy to see and use - even when a camera is attached.- Stable: I have the Nikon D5300 & have NEVER felt like my camera was unstable or that the tripod might fall over, which is surprising considering how thin & light the tripod is.CONS:- Paint scratches fairly easy: I go hiking with the tripod once or twice a month, and after a few trips to the mountains I noticed a few small scratches on the legs, but the scratches were not noticeable enough to be a concern as they were merely cosmetic, superficial blemishes.- No quick shoe included: To purchase the right quick shoe that will fit your camera and the tripod, call VANGUARDS customer service (1-800-875-3322).

Sweet tripod
I use this tripod for a large spotting scope while hunting. It's not the most compact or lightest out there but it's quick to adjust and smooth to operate. Also pretty good durability. I had a more expensive and compact tripod but after trying out my buddies vanguard I sold mine and got this one. Very happy with it.

... first tripod experience and I believe I made a great choice considering a lack of knowledge
This is my first tripod experience and I believe I made a great choice considering a lack of knowledge. I researched many different ones and decided on the Vanguard Espod Cx 203Ap Tripod and I'm glad I did. Attaching my camera was easy along with adjusting it to the many positions that are available. I recommend this tripod to anyone who is looking for a sturdy one at a great price.

Amazing value for perfect price
I was looking for a tripod for a long time, I had cheep one that came with my Nikon d5300 and it brook. I was looking for one the will last long, not heavy to carry around and most important, not expansive. This one answered all my needs. It isn't heavy and fold down to a small size, easy to fit in any backpack or camera bag. it is very steady, and strong made. It have many levels of adjustment that can fit any situation a photographer can face. And, it also look really nice.I am very happy with my choice. I took it to a few trips and used it a lot and it is still working perfectly.

Works great for glassing animals.
This review is based solely on my experience with it and a set of 10x binoculars. It worked very well on a hunting trip to Wyoming this fall. I was able to spot game much easier than my buddy who did not have a tripod. It seems a little heavy and bulky but it was also very windy while we were there and the tripod held steady in the wind (If it were lighter weight it would have shaken a lot more in the wind) Overall I like it.

Just what i was looking for !
I liked the solid structure, it's soft movement, the pan head, its perfect for what i wanted (video recording). It can hold my d7000 without troubles with the "tiny" camera plate. (i said tiny couse its smaller than it use to be for me).Easy relase of the shoe, and its about 65 inch (full extended).Pros:- Solid, stable.- Soft pan head movement.Cons:- 1 angle leg ( no more than 35 degrees).- No easy-release buttons for leg's angle.- No bag included.i would totally recomend it to anyone who want a simple but no-sofisticated tripode !

Nice Tripod!
The tripod is well made and can be adjusted to a variety of heights. I use it with my Olympus OM-D E-M1 camera. A very good tripod.
