Working for Four Years!
This charger fits easily into my boy's shorts' back and front pockets and can fully charge a dead phone about 2.2 times. It takes one to two days to recharge the charger itself. I've used it every week for four years during marching band, and despite being a bit heavy and thick by today's standards, it was top-tier when I bought it for $22. It charges very quickly, with a full charge taking less than an hour. Although the charging speed has decreased over time, it's still reliable. While there are now slimmer and lighter chargers available at the same price or slightly higher, I would still recommend this as a trusted brand you can always rely on.This charger fits easily into my boy's shorts' back and front pockets and can fully charge a dead phone about 2.2 times. Perfect for Travel and EDC
I bought this for an intercontinental trip last month, and it worked perfectly for that.On my way there, had a 2hr flight, layover of 4.5 hrs, then a 4.5hr flight. It was awesome being able to sit anywhere and plug right in without having to leave my devices at a charging station that nowhere near my seat (as many did).Only a couple of people were able to sit next to the charging station and use their stuff while charging. While there, I carried it with me about half the time. itś about half to ~60% the size of my Samsung S22. I'd carry this in one front jean pocket and the phone in the other. Not too bulky and hardly noticeable. The awkward part is having to also carry the charging cable.Overall, it was worth carrying when I did because it allowed me to charge phones (mine and friends') while at breakfast or a bar.On the way back... This is when it was truly a godsend! We were due to land in Houston after a 4.5hr flight but there was tornado at the airport so we went to San Antonio. As an international flight, we had to sit in the plane for the next 4 hours b/c that backup airport couldn't process us.When we finally arrived at Houston, it was total chaos. They changed my gate 4 times in less than an hour, every plane was late or being cancelled, etc.It was very nice for me to be able to plug in and walk with this thing, charging my phone, as I called people to let them know I was okay. called airline, checked sties/weather, etc. This time, all charging stations were saturated, with people waiting for a port to plug into.Once I got to my gate, and my devices were charged, I did let a couple of people simultaneously to charge their cell phones.HAS EARNED A PERMANENT PLACE IN MY EDCThis is a pouch that I use for everything I need at the officehttps://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R2DQ2C4R38DCCU/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B01MSEFDKWIt's easy for me to slip into laptop bag, take out when at office, carry with me in car, use at home office, etc.It keeps a USB-wall charging block, USB-A to USB-C and micro-USB, pens, highlighter, etc. All TSA compliant stuff because I also drop into my carry-on when I travel. This powerbank fits perfectly on an outside pocket. I expose the ports for charging the unit and for plugging in devices. As can be seen from the first couple of pics, I never have to remove it. And, if I need the cable to charge it, or a cable to charge a device, I unzip the top part and pull out without having to open the whole pouch up (same for returning the cable). This was definitely a very smart (and fortunate) purchase. Holds a huge deal of charge.I absolutely recommended.

Must have items in today's high tech world
Let me start by saying that I do not claim to be a "techie," though like many of you I have plenty of high tech devices. But this review won't tell you a lot about the "specs" of the devices, though there are many very helpful ones that will do that for you - some of which are really great. But these are my thoughts about how I feel about these devices and how they fit into my life and make it easier. I have this 12000mAh device, plus a 10000mAh, and two 3000mAh, one of which my wife uses. As the CEO of a small company I travel extensively (220 days per year) throughout Africa and Europe on business and consider this a must have device in my briefcase. Actually I usually carry two, one smaller one for pocket charging my phone and a larger one for my Kindle and iPad and other large devices. Anker's chargers are absolutely brilliantly engineered and manufactured. Even a quick inspection shows them to be heavy duty, durable devices of the highest caliber. As you can tell, I simply love these devices and I never want to be without one. I've "sold" probably 30-40 of them over the past six months to my employees, colleagues, friends and customers, simply by showing them mine and telling them my experiences with them. I actually hosted a visit to Washington, DC of eight diplomats and business leaders from a West African nation in March and every one of them bought at least one, and one bought three of them (one each for himself, his wife and his daughter). I know this review seems like the company wrote it but I assure you that these are my personal experiences and I have no connection to Anker - all of my four devices were bought from Amazon. Even though I buy a lot of things on Amazon.com, I don't review many things that I buy due to a lack of time. But I went out of my way to leave this review because these devices are truly that good, and I felt you deserved to know it. Buy one for you and your family members - you won't be sorry. The only question to ask is which size - since that is a very personal decision based on how you want to use it and if you mind carrying a larger one, or want the smaller 3000mAh. I will say this, the 3000mAh charges my Windows Phone or my wife's iPhone 5 with power left over, even when they are fully discharged. The larger 12000mAh Astro device does a great job charging a mostly charged iPad mini, charging it all the way up to 100%. These aren't for charging your computer though, so don't think you're going to hook up your laptop, though I suppose someone could figure out how to do that - I'll leave that to the techies. It's primarily used by everyone I know to charge up smaller devices, including phones, tablets, Kindles and similar devices. One more thing, I don't just use these for travel - they are great when you are running around town and are out of "juice" - simply hook it up and stick it in your pocket while you charge your phone, or use it while you are mowing the lawn, watching TV, etc. - and sitting in a restaurant in the airport where they don't think to give you an accessible outlet. I spend about 8 days a month on a plane and I can assure you that these things make airports and flights a much easier experience. In our age of constant movement, combined with our total reliance on electronic devices, I frankly don't know how I used to live without one of these. Thank you Anker for making my hands-down favorite electronic accessory item.
